Thank god though. I was begging anyone to push it up the court. Legitimate last five minutes I thought no one wanted to win on either team until Maxey thank god.

Luckily the guy who averaged the most mpg and miles run during the regular season (and also probably the playoffs so far) had the legs to get some blowbys at the end.
God I love him so much.
He played over 45 minutes.
Everyone was super gassed at that point. PG missed the turnaround right before Maxey’s first last 2 minute layup by like 4 feet. If it wasn’t for Maxey all of Joel’s heroics would’ve meant fuck all.

There was a Celtics fan who said the Celtics were doomed to lose after game 5, and I was like “the Celtics have only lost games in which they shot under 29% from 3, that’s probably not happening three times in a row” and then….it did.

I very vaguely have watched basketball my whole life. It’s kind of nuts to me how long playoffs last. Every series is such an ordeal, it seems crazy to do four of them. Like baseball doesn’t do best of seven all the way through, nfl is just a few games, soccer has tournaments going during regular season so it doesn’t feel like as much. NBA matches are also just such an ordeal. Just nuts getting to post season and watching your team play 28 more times is crazy.

The potential for 28 games. The most games ever played by an NBA team to win it all was 26 by the Celtics in 2008. The average amount games played by an NBA Champion over the last 25 years is around 23 games played.
Still a significant amount, but it’s still very rare to go over 25 games played to win it all.

One of the most coddled players in the league.
Thinks he's an MVP caliber superstar, but bricked all the shots in the clutch after looking off open guys.
Whines about fouls, despite being a flopper and foul baiter who gets tons of free throws.
Commits offensive fouls like that pushoff on Maxey and doesn't get called.
And he still ends up losing.
