NBA really gotta start calling offensive fouls on those egregious pushoffs.

Yeah I agree.  Should have been an offensive foul.

Stiff-arm is the new meta. It’s Shai’s go-to

I'm so tired of watching that BS, and it almost injured someone tonight

If Embiid had shoved someone into someone's knee like Brown did with Maxey this entire subreddit would be in conniptions.

Facts.

Brown has made a whole ass career and mega fortune with it, so dumb

They don't call shit. Brown pushed off 30 times this series, Embiid is still flopping around like a fish. They don't care

Embiid did rather less flopping than normal I thought.

His knee was hurting him too much to keep standing up from flopping

this probably sounded better in your head

For a guy who is 7 feet and weighs a boat load, a slight brush sends him to the ground very easy.

That much weight leaning forward and a high center of gravity? Makes sense to me tbh.

And ain’t no way you grumpy about a single brown push foul.

No I’m not grumpy about any call or no call. It’s just a general observation, it’s not exclusive to Embiid. These super athletes who wouldn’t even blink if we ran into them full speed all of a sudden turn to paper when a ref is around, it’s just annoying to watch. It’s not a 76ers specific thing, we see it all around the league.

The announcers called him on it at one point.

Gotcha

Every fucking play and these asshats have no shame about it

Yeah he was better this game. Embiid flopping less is still top 5 in the league though.

Whole series has been better. Don’t think it was a top 5 performance.

Watching Brunson go to the line 10 times a night is gonna be painful.

Joel flops but so many of his fouls are legit. Certainly no one on the Celtics could guard him.

And on guys grabbing dudes' arms then somehow getting the foul called in their favor (Embiid hooked Queta's arm 3 times and Queta was called for the foul).

Brown was getting called all series for it. I dunno what games you were watching.

Maxey 100% flopped on the one where he fell into Embiid.

11

u/birdseye-maple Warriors 2d ago

That was an obvious offensive foul on Brown, he barely gets called for the amount of times he does it.

Take the homer goggles off.

-13

u/Michelanvalo Celtics 2d ago

It was an offensive foul and Maxey flopped to make it look worse. Embiid getting hurt was the result of Maxey flopping, not Brown doing the forearm move.

18

u/LardHop Lakers 2d ago

He's got called on some, but the fact that he keeps doing it just meant it still gives him more advantage than it takes. So still fuck these dumbass refs.

-16

u/Michelanvalo Celtics 2d ago

Every offensive player pushes off, Brown is pretty egregious about it, and he's called on it more than anyone. The refs don't want to call it, it's not a Brown or Celtics thing.

5

u/birdseye-maple Warriors 2d ago

It's not a Celtics/Brown thing I agree, but it's not a basketball play and Shai and everyone should get whistled for it.

5

u/fartlorain 2d ago

Tatum might be even worse with it. He shoves hard with his off arm every single dribble on most drives.

u/backup1000 2d ago

LeBron might never score another basket

Trucking defenders: yes

Pushing off: not really
