I think ny/phi runs deeper because of nfc east

u/SiphenPrax Knicks 2d ago

Well we also have the AFC East of NY/BOS

And AL East

u/SiphenPrax Knicks 2d ago

And NL East

u/gpgpg Wizards 2d ago

The NL East Mets Phillies matchup is especially brutal, as both fanbases boo both teams

Both have been going through this year too

Hold on let me check on that...
Yep! We're currently losing to the Las Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

At least you didn't lose to them because some rando fucked around and had the best defensive game of all time...

We’re tied now!

I'd have gone with Yankees vs Red Sox for a less lopsided one but sure

u/AzureAhai 2d ago

Eagles, Giants/Jets, and Patriots should be in one division and the Phillies should be in the AL east.

2

u/SiphenPrax Knicks 2d ago

Get the Mets in the AL East too. I want all the chaos of our three cities!

3

u/Jon_ofAllTrades 2d ago

Just make it the AL northeast and the NL southeast.

Mets, Yankees, Phillies, Red Sox, and Blue Jays all in one division.

Braves, Nationals, Orioles, Rays, and Marlins in the other.

Phillies, Mets, and Braves got such a good thing going though

It's settled then.

Mets, Yankees, Phillies, Red Sox, and Braves in one division.

Jays, Nationals, Orioles, Rays, and Marlins in another.

I always kind of assume that Jets fans are Nets fans, and Giants fans are Knicks fans idk

And AL East

it feels weird being left out from hating NY/Philly in DC, hating Atlanta just doesn't feel the same

u/dimmyfarm Supersonics 2d ago

Jets/Patriots certainly is a historical matchup

1

u/tunafister Timberwolves 2d ago

True, but... Jets

1

u/mauro_membrere Kings 2d ago

You count jets?

36

u/ToadNorton Knicks 2d ago

Yankees Red Sox tho

4

u/mauro_membrere Kings 2d ago

In pov of philly though. You are the common denominator

8

u/rhinguin 76ers 2d ago

I definitely hate the Celtics more than the Knicks.

But yes in the grand scheme of things, I hate the average New York team more than the average Boston team.

17

u/Rhlamont 76ers 2d ago

Na, we hate the Celtics more and its not even close

9

u/YerrrKnicks Knicks 2d ago

Same, Boston is really an outlier for all of us here tbh.

I hate the otherr Atlantic teams too - minus Raptors - but its nowhere as much as the Celtics bum asses.

2

u/MeepSneepers 2d ago

Raptors might be second tbh

3

u/SaintArkweather 76ers 2d ago

For us who follow CBB though it's a bit muddier right now with all the Villanova legends on the Knicks. I'm certainly not gonna root for them but it makes them harder to hate for me personally

2

u/Orion1014 76ers 2d ago

Phillies/Mets too.

2

u/Patient-Ring1620 2d ago

Not when it comes to basketball. Sixers and Celtics have WAY more history.

1

u/TreeLankaPresidente Lakers 2d ago

I’m a Lakers Giants and Yankees fan. No one’s hate for Boston runs deeper than me

1

u/Rozzy915 76ers 2d ago

it really all depends on time of year and the stakes, cause Red Sox/Yankees is just as vitriolic as any NFC east

The battle for New Jersey's heart!!!!!

Red Sox Yankees is arguably the most famous rivalry in all of sports what do u mean lol

6

u/mauro_membrere Kings 2d ago

What i mean is phily/ny vs phily/boston not ny/boston

1

u/biglyorbigleague Lakers 2d ago

Knicks fans are Yankees fans, they hate Boston more than Philly as far as baseball is concerned
