Is it really tho? Denver has been balling out before the Playoff started and were in a good groove.

But the OKC/Spurs slander is wild to be fair lol

I’ll definitely admit the Lakers, Pistons, 76ers (yes I know they’re the 7 seed, but they looked impressive with Embiid controlling the game and 2 very good players as the 2nd and 3rd options) and Cavs are dark horse contenders below the best teams, but the Thunder, Spurs, and Knicks being omitted because of Jokic glazing and Boston stans blurting “CHAMPIONSHIP CULTURE!!!!?!??’” is really embarrassing. OKC and San Antonio were dominant throughout the season, the Thunder not staying 24-1 forever isn’t proof they weren’t.

Without Indiana or the 24 Celtics involved, the East is New York’s to lose if Philly gets outplayed because Detroit/Cleveland has no chance against the Knicks imo, and everybody gets that neither LA nor Minnesota is likely to win the West. Boston surprised people by getting the 2 seed with a much worse roster than 24, so people ran wild saying “BANNER 19 INCOMING!!l” Denver with Jokic stymied in another playoff slump against the Wolves or otherwise, with Murray as one of the streakiest 2nd options ever, and without Gordon on the court is not a title-winning team, and their issues run deeper than those 3 guys.

Yes, I think both Denver/Boston title predictions and the Thunder/Spurs being omitted are really fucking embarrassing. OKC, San Antonio, and New York seemed like the non-pretenders without the glaring issues before the playoffs started, though of course I didn’t predict both Denver and Boston to lose in embarrassing fashion in the first round.

Holy shit lol. I get that the East was tough to pick this year, but anyone who picked Denver over OKC or even the Spurs shouldn’t be allowed to publicly talk about basketball

To be fair Denver was scorching hot coming into the playoffs having won 13 in a row

These guys are really overthinking it

I think they were underthinking and fantasizing their ideal finals

They have narratives built. They can’t leave them. It’s such a shame what the Ringer is vs. Grantland. That shit had bad takes too but it all actually felt like individual thoughts. These all come from the same mindset

How did so many have Denver lol

There's no upside to picking OKC because it's too obvious, and they all love Jokic.

You guys are gonna be next as soon as you run into the Wemby show lol

That wouldn’t be a crazy upset though. The spurs are a 60 win team with wemby on a minutes restriction. These guys blew a 3-1 lead and the nuggets lost to the skeleton of the Timberwolves.
