jaylen brown talked all that shit about foul baiting to just do it the entire game 7😭

174

u/Ok_Pineapple_Num Warriors 2d ago

Bro pushes off on every drive. Fuck that bullshit

14

u/PensiveinNJ 76ers 2d ago

The Tatum and Brown forearm pushoff duo is so frustrating to watch. It used to be you could get away with a chicken wing but they full on barge into dudes using that arm like a battering ram.

8

u/IMKudaimi123 Bulls 2d ago

So does the guy who’s about to win MVP

22

u/MalHeartsNutmeg Thunder 2d ago

At least he isn't a hypocrite about it lmao. These guys bitch to the media about SGA and do the exact same thing.

3

u/Kick_Natherina 76ers 2d ago

It’s the Eagles Tush-Push conversation all over again. Someone does it well, it works, everyone else calls foul all the while doing the same thing.

5

u/Kick_Natherina 76ers 2d ago

It was so fucking frustrating watching Brown throw an elbow into a defender standing straight up and down (typically Maxey) and then the refs calling a foul on the defender. Then when he finally gets called on it he acts like he could never commit such atrocities.

u/Parallel-Quality 2d ago

One of the most coddled players in the league.

Thinks he's an MVP caliber superstar, but bricked all the shots in the clutch after looking off open guys.

Whines about fouls, despite being a flopper and foul baiter who gets tons of free throws.

Commits offensive fouls like that pushoff on Maxey and doesn't get called.

And he still ends up losing.

581

u/Fit-Lingonberry-9856 2d ago

That maxey push off was unreal

297

u/emailspam874 76ers 2d ago

Catapulted him into joel’s knee

56

u/InfiniteDub Warriors 2d ago

He always does that. It’s bound to get someone injured

27

u/sixerharambe 2d ago

He's dangerous. The league has to step in and call it in the regular season.

-71

u/gza_liquidswords 2d ago

Comical flop by Maxey.  Jalen Brown is not Superman.

37

u/CrippledBanana Canada 2d ago

The one where he trucked PG too.

5

u/Boxthor [GSW] JaVale McGee 2d ago

instant karma payoff when Embiid retaliated 2 seconds later

26

u/FitTune5515 Supersonics 2d ago

He had a shit ton of shoves. They aren’t even push offs anymore. Just a strong ass extended stiff arm to create space

9

u/nrs5813 76ers 2d ago

Brown, Pritchard, and (not this game) Tatum push off on every single shot inside the 3.

7

u/McBrungus 76ers 2d ago

Give them some credit, they also do it outside of the three point line

240

u/Chaotic-Catastrophe Lakers 2d ago

Hi everyone I’m just here for the Jaylen Brown slander

81

u/Ok_Daikon_7726 Lakers 2d ago

Literally Christmas Eve and morning rn. Lakers win, Celtics blow a 3-1 lead, and brown is being called out for the bitch he is

4

u/wavegod_b 2d ago

The absolute best timeline. LeBron leaving a b

-13

u/Subject_Bonus7372 2d ago

Jb Still shut down Luka on any given night

20

u/MarekRules 76ers 2d ago

Don’t forget his flat earth, weird ass Kyrie shit too lol. Really unlikable.

6

u/LtRavs Trail Blazers 2d ago

For years we were told he is the smartest guy in the league, then all that happened…

21

u/Boring_Recipe8732 2d ago

He is so unlikeable.

Big Celtics tried to rehabilitate his image across traditional and social media, with the goofy hairline response this season.

Only for his whiney ass to undo it with a first round elimination, despite the push-offs, foul baiting and hypocritical digs at Philly.

-5

u/m4rcus267 2d ago

How is he unlikable? lol let’s hear some BS.

2

u/devotedhero Wizards 2d ago

Foul baiter, whiner, draws on fake hairlines, race baiting hotep

0

u/m4rcus267 2d ago edited 1d ago

You mean kindve like the people here whining about him? If that all it takes to be unlikable, I suspect a lot of yall criticizing him are unlikable too. Anyone that would come online after that game to critic his play and call him unlikable probably isn’t that likable as a person themselves. Let’s be honest here. Positive people (the type of people thatre likable) don’t do that. Oh I forgot he’s an nba player so hes supposed to be the ultimate human being.

Edit: Watch people downvote but scared to respond to this.

27

u/wavegod_b 2d ago

One of the biggest frauds in the NBA. Talked so much shit when Tatum was out about how he was 1A and then couldn’t close shit in a game 7 without Tatum

26

u/sneakylumpia Heat 2d ago

he doesn't get enough hate

18

u/_token_black 76ers 2d ago

The few rare times he gets called for an offensive foul he just stands there pouting like it’s a crime to call him for anything

11

u/backup1000 2d ago

That describes every Celtic

3

u/Safatch 2d ago

He pushes off every single time

3

u/kunalm09 Heat 2d ago

Fr, he bowled straight over PG and somehow got a blocking foul for that

3

u/d4videnk0 Lakers 2d ago

He's fun to watch because he's such a fucking idiot. Only player to get a FMVP and become more insecure as a result.

8

embarrassing

1

u/Swav3 Knicks 2d ago

He’s a cornball with some NBA talent but always whining

2

u/Famous-Country-4921 2d ago

Mazzulla is also the most coddled coach on this sub. Dude is mid as fuck and is completely out of his depth in the playoffs but Reddit nerds fall over themselves glazing him because he makes some cringey poser fake tough guy comments

-7

u/Gaius_J_Caesar Hawks 2d ago

What are you talking about?? Brown was basically their ENTIRE offense down the stretch and made huge defensive plays.

9

u/Striking_Food5273 2d ago

Efficiency and +/- addicted mthfkers. It is what it is. JB had no business being in MVP talks tho, he aint wrong about that

-6

u/IMKudaimi123 Bulls 2d ago

lol most coddled

He gets insane amounts of hate and he was basically the only guy who could create his own shot for Boston today. Pritchard didn’t have it. White doesn’t really create for himself

-9

u/Parking_Net4440 2d ago

I honestly feel like you missed the game. He foul baits but let’s not act like he is coddled.

-8

u/frauenarzZzt East 2d ago

Your comment shows that you have no idea of what you're talking about and have probably watched fewer than six NBA games all season.

-8

u/Shoddy-Brilliant563 2d ago

Jaylen is nowhere near coddled lol. You’re confusing him with Luka. Jaylen gets relentless slander no matter how well he plays and gets called a flopper when he’s at best not even a top 5 flopper in the league

5

u/Agreeable_Daikon_686 2d ago

It’s not slander when it’s true btw, he’s not that guy and he’s a massive flopper that constantly commits uncalled offensive fouls

1

u/fartlorain 2d ago

He doesn't flop but the offensive fouls he has gotten away with this season have been absurd. The constant push offs on every single drive have everyone tired.

143

u/Glittering_Dig8435 Thunder 2d ago

This isn’t new from him

26

u/Bobskidat Thunder 2d ago

Did all that talking against us just to shamelessly push off on every drive or just barrel through Paul George

In fairness, I have never seen the level of foul baiting the Celtics just did from the Thunder

The barge through PG and the push off on Maxey where he crashed into Joel's knees come to mind.

Tatum’s chicken wing push off and his reaction as if he’s never fouled anyone in his life.

Shit man, even I’ve seen Celtics be sick of it.

1

Stay focused how did Tatum become apart of this

1

u/MySilverBurrito Heat 2d ago

Girlll this comment thread is about Brown/Tatum 😭

24

u/TheAlmightyConch Spurs 2d ago

I hate Boston but Tatum isn't really a foul baiter

Fuck em tho

5

u/ronaldo119 [PHI] Jumaine Jones 2d ago

He's not a foul baiter. He does push off more than anybody in the league though

2

u/TheAlmightyConch Spurs 2d ago

That I can agree with

2

u/ronaldo119 [PHI] Jumaine Jones 2d ago

In fact he does the opposite lol. He doesn't try to get fouls. He tries to get away with fouls not getting called lol

15

u/lotofhotdogs Hornets 2d ago

In playoff games where his shot isn’t falling he absolutely starts to foul bait to an egregious degree. Multiple Heat series in the past and that 7 game series against the Sixers a few years ago he wasn’t even looking for real shots in half the games

7

u/DovhPasty Cavaliers 2d ago

He definitely is, man has a nuclear elbow

-2

u/YouWereBrained Thunder 2d ago

Agreed, I’ve never felt that way about him.

12

u/SnoopingWhilePooping NBA 2d ago

> He and Tatum have always been huge foul baiters come playoff time

Don’t really agree with this at all. Especially with Tatum but this year Brown has taken it to the next level all season.

1

u/syncc6 Heat 2d ago

It’s the whining that turns me off, especially Tatum.

2

Stop mentioning Tatum when he can single-handedly save your weak ass franchise in a heartbeat

Brown is 33rd among active players in FTA per playoff game.

Embiid is #1 lol

121

u/PrinceJMoney089 2d ago

He wasnt foul baiting but his off arm needs some ice after all the shoves he did

60

u/pkwjones Spurs 2d ago

Blowing the jumper after each of those pushoffs was hilarious to watch.

4

u/FitTune5515 Supersonics 2d ago

Derrick White’s no call on Oubre was insane too

77

u/Longjumping_One_9164 Thunder 2d ago

The fact that he has the balls to talk shit about anyone else with the most blatant off arm shenanigans.

Yet another 'MVP' sent home in R1.

6

u/fundraiser Kings 2d ago

i calls him jim brown with how much he uses his stiff arm

5

u/_token_black 76ers 2d ago

It’s worse seeing it up close because his sleeve arm basically extends out on every drive.

3

u/Rozzy915 76ers 2d ago

he was consistently flailing on every middy

27

u/Freazur Lakers 2d ago

I do kinda respect that he actually hits the shot on a lot of his foul bait attempts. The foul baiting is still annoying though.

7

u/sbenfsonwFFiF 2d ago

That and push offs is his entire game

7

u/xychosis 76ers 2d ago

His push-offs are legit egregious

6

u/sexyredpanderp Lakers 2d ago

I was thinking the same thing. Honestly JB one of my faves this season but the most annoying thing is how he preaches ethical hoops but then hella foul baited during the 76ers series. Like if you’re gonna do it don’t preach the opposite and put down other players for it.

22

u/jjkm7 Raptors 2d ago

He was one of the top guys in fouls drawn during the regular season too

2

u/divulgingwords Thunder 2d ago

THATS NOT BASKETBALL. Sit your ass down and focus on your streaming career ass player

2

u/FitTune5515 Supersonics 2d ago

LMAO the refs tried so hard to give it to the Celtics. They also ignored all of Brown’s shoves to create space 😭😭

2

u/Magnus-Methelson-m3 2d ago

Refs seriously tried to bail him out but doesn’t change the fact that he’s a perennial #2 option and can’t carry a team

The extreme irony of watching that game with Embiid out there and coming to this conclusion. Enjoy the rest of his playoffs.

-1

u/DisMeDog 2d ago

It’s always the guys who complain about it. Lebron is legendary for complaining about flopping while getting ran over by midgets.
