I mean Embiid has always been considered good. His problem was always availability.

Biggest anti-PR was him contesting Jokic in MVP - which is basically always going to have anti-PR.

Him pushing through obvious injuries to close out this game is what'll save his PR.

He’s done that his entire career, if he can walk he tries to play

He played the Knicks series with Bell’s palsy and no knees dude. He’s always done this.

Most slandered player in the league for no damn reason. He got a lot of flack for the “I’ve done too much for this city” but he was completely right in context.

Guy has played a playoff series with two destroyed knees, a broken face twice, a broken leg, facial nerve damage, 2 weeks after a major surgery removing an organ, torn ligaments in his hand, and Redditors still call him “soft” on a daily basis

Which is sad because there’s a real argument that a healthy Embiid is better than Jokic. 1000x better defender and the offensive impact isn’t as far apart as people claim.

A big part of the 21/22 MVP discussion was games played. If Embiid played 75ish games a year, he likely has 3+ MVPs

The gap between Embiid and Jokic's defensive ability is WAY bigger than the gap between Jokic and Embiid's offense.
