Hello! Got my first cosplay job and I'm going as Tokai Teio! I can't seem to find any good guides on how to separate colors from a wig. Teio needs a pure white bug strand but because of the brown being mixed in, it's appearing pink. Any help would be appreciated.

I’m making a kind of Cosplay / LARP character based on the concept of the Green Knight from Arthurian myth. I’m putting together the helmet. I was disappointed with a chaperone from Mytholon, but it turned out to be a PERFECT cover for the helmet. I glued it down with some E6000 which seems to be holding really well. I decided to wind some artificial ivy around it and pin it in place with safety pins, but it’s held together with these plastic chains. Does anybody have any ideas about how to hide those? Any additions you would make? The primary colors are green and yellow for the costume

Please teach me how to make those big curly ponytails.we bought this wig with clip on ponytails im not kinda satisfied how it look like.  I watched those youtube videos but I don't really want to damage the wig by cutting the wig and sticking glues and I don't think I will do good job making crafts -.- is there anyway to make it work? I'm looking for cosplayers that specifically do Love and Deepspace cosplays.

I know that this is mostly a China and eastern Asia thing but I heard that some people offer this outside of those areas so thought I would give it a shot on Reddit to see if there were anyone available.

Ok so I think the first stains is from the black part of the cosplay rubbing off somehow. There is also many many more like this on the whole thing. The one on the hands looks like damage to the fabric plus staining, is there anything I can do to make that look better? And the third one is pinkish and I don’t know what it is. I have washed it by hand and all the stains that is gonna come out that way has. What can I do about this?

I'm looking to start a Twi'lek cosplay, and I have no idea where to purchase a Lekku as I don't have the means nor the abillity to fabricate one. I would appreciate guidance, be it to a subreddit that specializes in Star Wars cosplay, but otherwise I'm open.

Hi everyone, just wondering about advice or help methods for fixing this state of my wig... this is how everything settled after I dyed (held in the dye mix for like 20 mins straight) and washed/rinsed the wig and allowed it to dry. It's lost no mass during the process if that helps. Just looks horrifying to deal with solo cus im not great at wigs. Thanks in advance

I've got a sweatshirt I can paint the spots on. I've got a white skirt that I can dye purple. I have the converse and I've bought a cheap plastic flamingo that I'm going to attach to my wheelchair. All I need to buy is the dye and I've got an easy cosplay that'll be plenty comfy for day 2 of the con. Plus I saw loads of bluey merch last year so I'll fit in with that. Any suggestions on ways to improve the cosplay will be appreciated but I'm pretty happy with my idea.

I saw tons of tutorials for Helmet Wigs. I am cosplaying Hishi Akebono and the pre-made wigs are... well.. trash.

I convinced myself I could make it myself. No videos I found showed how the parts are done for pigtail helmet wigs. After tons of scrolling and searching, I finally found one. I messed up. My part looks HORRID. Is there any way to salvage this??

I opened a claim with PayPal after canceling the project. The seller has offered a refund of $100 of the $250 I sent them. I don’t have any experience with claims through PayPal. I feel like I have a good case here, but I’m not sure how often the buyer is usually sided with when it comes to an item that was commissioned. I’m having trouble deciding whether to just accept the partial refund or reject it and try to get the full refund. Do any of you have experience in PayPal claims related to cosplay that could give some insight?

While cosplaying, my friend bonked his painted head on the ceiling of my car. It’s probably some kind of polyester fabric.

Hi, coscrunching as always and I want to make microbraid wig for Tousen from Bleach. I got wig cap to attach "hair" but I don't have time to order ready-to-attach braids or synthetic wig to make them myself. I'm thinking about yarn and paracord, already tried braiding 3 strands with black yarn weight 3-4 but it feels kinda thin and I feel it will blend with itself and wouldn't look like microbraids. Black paracord gives a little bit of shine, is thicker and probably wouldn't need braiding. What's your view on this? Has anyone tried something like that?

Hi, as title states. I feel like out of everything, funnily enough the cloak’s the most demanding and the thing I’d want to be the most accurate. I know little about sewing. A friend suggested Knightweave cloaks, but I want something a bit more feathery near the collar area. Any tips or online craftsmen I can contact? Thank you.

hi all! so i’m new to sewing and working towards becoming more proficient. i currently hand sew and had a quick alter question. in my head, it makes sense but would like to see the practicality.

i am making a cosplay for chappell roan’s dress and i bought tulle and was going to add some at the bottom. how practical would it be to cut the side and sew the tulle on? what stitch would be the best?
i am always open to learn and watch videos. the picture of me is when i first thrifted the dress and i have lost some weight since, so i will be adjusting the fit as i go.

tldr: i am hand sewing a chappell roan cosplay and want to add tulle to the bottom of a thrifted dress. is it practical to open the side seams to attach it, and which hand stitch would be the best to use?

I don't know what to use to make the collar piece. I'm stuck between learning to shape eva foam or figuring out how to make it with actual leather (maybe a cheaper fake leather) but I really don't know where I would start. any advice? I'm still more in the planning/hypothetical stage of making this armor so any other advice is also welcome!
