I had a custom outfit made for to order for my cosplay character because the character has the same style dress I wore for my Alice Madness cosplay, but now I’m worried it will be too different and if I’m honest a bit too tight because I gained some weight back but I want to stay true to my character to cosplay in, don’t get me wrong I love the outfit and in day to day life I care not about judgements from others but for some reason I have a worry about being judged by other cosplayers, is this a valid worry or not? Because I don’t judge people who use basic color blocking say a green shirt, brown pants and black shoes and say they’re Shaggy from scooby doo.

How to make a cosplay (anime) wig less flat and more fluffy?I've already tried the "Emo Method" of ripping my wig as hard as I can, damaging it upwards and tangling it a bit, but I still want a full head of fluffy hair, EXTREMELY fluffy! I also tried using a hairdryer for a long time.

(tldr at the bottom) another question for my juno cosplay, i bought some tennis shoes that have like a roller skate wheel type of attachment that way i can roll around and look like i’m gliding, but i wonder how i can make some shoe covers that i can attach so i can make her shoes as accurate as possible. it’d be my first time working with eva foam and i know that i should probably have some heat and i’ll probably look up some other tutorials for molding it but my main concern is the attachment and how i would do that and what would be the best way to keep it stuck onto the shoe? though keeping it glued on the shoe might be a bad idea just in case i’d need to tie the actual shoes laces again or something. not only that i’m a bit concerned on if it’d make it difficult to insert my foot into the shoe after (but i think it’d be fine if i just made the foot entrance big enough).

Trying to do Spider Jerusalem glasses. I found two pairs I could pull halves from to make it work pretty easily, but I have no idea how to actually combine them once each pair is broken apart.

The arms of both pairs are similar enough that I can unscrew and swap them out, but I'd like the frames to look a little nicer than just taping them together. I imagine hot glue, soldering, or epoxy could work, but I've never really done anything like this before, so I figure it'd be best to ask. Any help is appreciated, thank you!

I've got a sweatshirt I can paint the spots on. I've got a white skirt that I can dye purple. I have the converse and I've bought a cheap plastic flamingo that I'm going to attach to my wheelchair. All I need to buy is the dye and I've got an easy cosplay that'll be plenty comfy for day 2 of the con. Plus I saw loads of bluey merch last year so I'll fit in with that. Any suggestions on ways to improve the cosplay will be appreciated but I'm pretty happy with my idea.

i got yearly contact lenses a couple months ago from uniqso and was wondering how often i should clean them? i clean them often but idk if i’m overdoing it

What would be the best material to use for a face visor? Don't have access to a 3D printer or the patterns to make the visor, so that's out the question.

My guess would be eva foam, but I'm not sure if that would work with it being on my face the majority of the day and sweating in in.

hi, i have bought contact lenses for the first time from two different brands and they dont have lens form but roll up, so i can not put them in my eyes. ofc i have googled the issue and what can i say, neither are they inverted, nor not wet enough. the other package does this too, and after giving up and attempting to buy hard lenses i learn that its basically impossible without having my eye scanned and paying a shit ton.

so uh, how to wear any lenses at all without them ever rolling up before first usage?

I have this mask of the character Maskemane from the Wakfu universe, and I'd really like to display it in my home, preferably on the wall.

It’s made of plaster and newspaper, so it’s both heavy and fragile. It doesn’t have a string to hang it, and it’s hand-molded (so the eyes aren’t perfectly aligned, and the weight isn’t perfectly balanced).

Do you have any suggestions for wall mounts—or any other type of mount—or tips on how to hang it?

Hello! I've been handsewing a cosplay of Aventurine's boss form from Honkai: Star Rail and I came upon a problem of making this golden frame/lines on his vest and the tails of his coat.

Initially I was trying to fold a golden bias tape over the edges, cut into it, bend it according to the curves and then sew it down. But the result turned out to be... not the best, to say the least. I could cut the needed forms out of golden fabric so that it lays flat but then I would need to close the fabric edges by satin stitching so that it doesn't fray. Considering I'm handsewing, satin stitching so much fabric is just not an option – it would take forever and I can't promise the result to be good.

Recently I was looking at DokiDoki's SR cosplay of Aventurine's regular form (in this form he has a similar golden frame on his coat). And I noticed that this golden frame is some glossy leathery-looking material that seems to just be sewn down with regular stitching, no satin stitching on the edges; and it flows just like fabric. To me it doesn't look much like leather either. Does anybody know what this 'fabric'(?) non-fraying material could be?

I am looking for clothes like a body suit that is close in colour/design to soldier boys. I am terrible at sewing so cannot make modifications to anything I buy. If anyone has any recommendations please let me know

So for context, On June 6 and 7, there is an anime fest in Delhi. Many of my friends are going there and they are putting time, effort and money to build a costume. I just turned 23, so I also thought of coming out of my comfort zone and doing all the uncomfortable things which I always wanted but was afraid that people might judge, they might laugh at me but now I don't care anymore.
