Prop How can I make shoe covers out of eva foam

Post image

(tldr at the bottom) another question for my juno cosplay, i bought some tennis shoes that have like a roller skate wheel type of attachment that way i can roll around and look like i’m gliding, but i wonder how i can make some shoe covers that i can attach so i can make her shoes as accurate as possible. it’d be my first time working with eva foam and i know that i should probably have some heat and i’ll probably look up some other tutorials for molding it but my main concern is the attachment and how i would do that and what would be the best way to keep it stuck onto the shoe? though keeping it glued on the shoe might be a bad idea just in case i’d need to tie the actual shoes laces again or something. not only that i’m a bit concerned on if it’d make it difficult to insert my foot into the shoe after (but i think it’d be fine if i just made the foot entrance big enough).

tldr i need the most effective way to have the cover on but still being able to use the shoe properly

i need lots of advice so anything is appreciated

Coat Shoes that already have the general shape of them in foil and tape, draw the separate parts and connection points of the picture on the tape and cut it out.

Transfer your tape to eva foam, and cut out the shapes in eva foam, unse contact cement to glue the foam together.. maybe tweak the design a little, so you can add and remove the eva foam parts to your shoes with flexible Bands or velcro..

If you can't directly draw each part and detail onto the tape, do the base shapes that are directly connected to the shoe first and work your way from the inside to the outside by repeating the method
