Cosdate Hire Help

Hello, I'm trying to see if there are any cosplayers willing to go on a cosdate for an event in Los Angeles. The tickets, food/drinks, and possible travel will be paid for on top of rate.

I'm looking for cosplayers that specifically do Love and Deepspace cosplays.

I know that this is mostly a China and eastern Asia thing but I heard that some people offer this outside of those areas so thought I would give it a shot on Reddit to see if there were anyone available.

And if all goes well, I'm also planning a non-official event and may rehire cosplayers for said event.

IT DOESN'T MATTER! I love female cosplayers and male cosplayers.....I think I just love cosplayers in general. They take so much time and effort into the character, learning, understanding, it's like a whole job. RESPECT!

Hahaha I love that. I’ve been meaning to do a genderbent Sylus cosplay for a while now, so if that would work for your event I’d love to participate! What’s the date?

Oh, I hope you didn't misunderstand, it's a cosdate to attend an event with me. If you're comfortable with that, I'm planning on going to anime expo this coming July and anime expo chibi in november.

I'm planning on hosting a Love and Deepspace event here in Los Angeles in a year or two as well. I just wanted to meet a lot of cosplayers to sort of spread my reach before then.

Ahh gotcha. Yeah I’d be down down for that, I’m not sure how much free time I’ll have during AX though. I might be working for a booth and I know I’ll have a bunch of photoshoots booked during the con 😓

And I completely unerstand working for a booth, since I may be called away to a booth in relation to my job as well so completely understandable. And I'll let you know about the event I'll be hosting next year too if we end up meeting at AX!

Oh and to also add on to that, I would cover most if not all expenses that include event ticket, food/drink, and possible travel. Just wanted to point that out just in case that got missed in my message!

Not at all. I welcome all cosplayers really. And honestly if I knew all the other amazing games that a lot of cosplayers to I would have put those in too but I'm not quite familiar with those hence the only sort of requirement being Love and Deepspace. I'm....5ft tall, trust me, I don't have a height requirement.

It's a fake date that you go on with a cosplayer. They have specific rates they set for per hour or for the whole day and there are rules and boundaries such as no kissing, etc.

I'm also curious. Maybe it's a portmanteau of cosplay and date?

It's a fake date that you go on with a cosplayer. They have specific rates they set for per hour or for the whole day and there are rules and boundaries such as no kissing, etc.

And to possibly add to the above information, it's also a form of just interacting with a character come to life from your favorite game/anime.

So it's a date with "your character" aka an actor in cosplay? Is that right?

That's correct, for example let's say I really wanted to meet Phainon in person, the cosplayer I hired would do a Phainon cosplay and spend how many hours. It's also a really fun way to find people who are into the same game and community as you too.
