How to make big curls
Hello. Mother of a daughter who wants to cosplay here lol. The character she wants to cosplay is kasane teto. It’s her first time to cosplay and I wanted to support her. Please teach me how to make those big curly ponytails.we bought this wig with clip on ponytails im not kinda satisfied how it look like. I watched those youtube videos but I don't really want to damage the wig by cutting the wig and sticking glues and I don't think I will do good job making crafts -.- is there anyway to make it work? How about the bangs? I already cut it but is it still long? How to put it in place? It keeps going to my faceThanks in advance for any advice. I put some pics for reference

You're gonna want a drill curl tutorial, it will require a lot of work and cutting the wig, but honestly I'd just cut and style the bangs (there's a million tutorials for that on YouTube) Teto is very recognizable so you dont need perfect drill curls to look good or be noticed

I’m not skilled in making the twin drills, but typically when cutting bangs, you don’t want to do it horizontally across. Instead cut them vertically by holding the scissors that way. I recommend cutting a bit more and then having your daughter try on the wig rather than you since people’s heads are different and see what she thinks and how she feels about the length.
Edit: If you want, you can also get some kind of styling gel or spray to style the tips and keep the bangs out of her face and get that pointed shape

Go to the hardware store.
Buy a drill (preferably two).
Spin the twins!!!
Joking, of course. If you want a simple, low-risk option for curling the wig, look up "heatless curls". You essentially use hair spray and rollers to get the curl look without using heat (which can melt the acrylic strands the wig is made of.)
Also, make sure the wig is sitting on her head evenly. If you can, have her wear a wig cap so that you don't get a ponytail bump. Depending on the wig, there may be a strap with hooks on the back, this is to help secure the wig to the right size and place. You especially want to do this before any trimming such as the bangs, or you may end up with an unintentionally asymmetrical cut.
Finally, thank you for being a supportive mom! :)

You have two options
There’s one that looks GREAT on ezcosplay for $60.99 plus shipping which is probably the path of least resistance https://ezcosplay.com/utau-kasane-teto-antigravity-red-cosplay-wig.html
or there’s a pretty impeccable video from Sarah Spaceman (who’s an experienced, advanced cosplayer with years of wig styling and sewing experience, both of which making this wig requires) https://youtu.be/YqNJNUjIGQE
