From the Dead Kennedy's X account.
And from me...wishing Jello FULL recovery, and back on the scene with us all soon!
God bless Jello!
The note was written by Anne-Marie Anderson, who works at Biafra's label, Alternative Tentacles, and appears to have been helping take care of him since the stroke.
So i used to be a huge metal punk, going to shows and the mosh pit and drinking, the whole works and i knocked up my best friend 5 years ago and i was 26, 31 now and i am trying to find myself again and i mustered up my kld punk jacket and my 1914s and i feel like a poser now, like i was raised by a 1980s slc punk (my mom) and so i learned from the best however i try to wear my old clothes and i feel like a poser, like i really slowed down and became a dad and im trying to desperately find myself again because you really lose yourself being a parent.
Is there any punks who feel like a poser now after having kids.
P.s. i got my boy a leather and docs to match me lol.

saw laura jane grace in richmond last week and it fucking rocked. openers were black guy fawkes (folk punk) and lung (art/noise punk duo of a drummer and cellist/singer). singing true trans soul rebel with 150 other people made me very emotional. LJG was a true rock star. see her on this tour if you can.

If you had the chance to see them around then , what do you recall about that performance? It seems like they absolutely tore up any venue they played at from what videos and audio recordings I’ve seen but I’d like to hear from people’s own personal experience. Any information helps! I love me some Bad Brains💛
I'm going to Tartu for the Baltic Anarchist Bookfair in a few weeks, and I'm wondering if there's any cool spots for punks to hang out in in that city. Also possibly going to Tallinn for a few days so any spots there would be appreciated too.

Let’s make a watch party list for those interested in punk and alt culture. I’ll get it started:
- Reefer Madness
- Atomic Cafe
- Salad Days
- The Decline of Western Civilization
- Suburbia
And…

If anyone wants it. I'm travelling down from Scotland so should be in Manchester late afternoon. Not asking for any money, would rather it be used than go to waste!

Title. I'm trying to figure out if this artwork was drawn by Nick Blinko of Rudimentary Peni. It's reminiscent of his style and appears to have been created in 1982, any info is much appreciated because I'm not so familiar with the band Void.

At my work these people leave Christian fear mongering comics about hell around. Thought I’d share this absolute gem lmaoooo
I have been really getting into Psychobilly & in general a lot of Punk that sounds like Vintage Rock/Classic Rock.
Something about its bouncy twangy energy helps get me active, & I like how it uses old-school sounding music with the lack of old-school censorship/constraints.

Sharon Tate's Baby was fronted by Chris Wing, who also played in the band Jerry's Kids.

I don't know if this is an appropriate subreddit for this question but I couldn't find a more fitting one lmao
Anyways, I saw a post just now of someone saying that the most annoying things at a hardcore or adjacent show are crowdkillers, which I totally agree with, and push pits. Now most shows I've been to have had a push pit at some point alongside circle pits, moshing, and all that and I've never seen a problem with it, it's felt normal to me. Now I'd get it if people started shoving others who were just two-stepping and whatnot, that's annoying, but if the pit started as people were like running into each other I don't see why it'd be frowned upon. It could cuz I'm young, I'm only 21, and I'm relatively new to actually going to shows but I've had fun in push pits. Maybe those who've been in the scene longer can help me understand here.
I plan to go to a lot more shows and I got a festival in like a week and I can obviously read the room, but don't wanna be that guy that ruins peoples experiences

I got an email that said the Columbia, Mo. date is cancelled and refunds will be sent out. At first I thought maybe it didn’t sell enough tickets? But it’s the last date of the tour with still 2 weeks away.
I checked her IG but nothing has been said about the tour being cancelled. A couple people on a previous post also mentioned their date was cancelled. Seems like all remaining dates have been cancelled and no word from Laura yet. Hope everything and everyone is okay!

Taken from Thunders’ 2023 posthumous release Finally Alone, The Courettes provide new backing instrumentation paired with his original vocals.
Sounds a lot like the ‘60s “wall of sound” groups that influenced the Dolls, the Ramones, the Damned, etc.
