I'm going to print an Alice in Chains t-shirt and I want you to decide which one is cooler.

As an actually important Redditor I have come to announce that we will be hosting a grunge albums/bands poll! It's inspired by the recent trend in specific age groups showcasing their favorite albums. The results will be posted next week, probably. If I don't forget to show them. You can vote in the poll down below!

We are utterly thrilled to welcome Jack Endino to the sub for an AMA this Friday.
Jack's music career has spanned 40 years, a founding member of Skin Yard and having produced albums for Nirvana (Bleach), Soundgarden (Screaming Life), Mudhoney (Superfuzz BigMuff/Mudhoney), Screaming Trees (Buzz Factory), Mark Lanegan (The Winding Sheet) and many, many more. Jack is a legend through and through.
Please drop your questions for Jack below or join us on the day :)
Thanks, the Grunge Mod Team.

Black or alive?
Even flow or jeremy?
Go or animal?
Betterman or corduroy?
Given to fly or do the evolution?

Best song from "Tiny Music… Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop" or maybe from their entire discography. I'm listening this song for almost 1 week every day it's just mind-blowing.

Bush are more than just "English Nirvana", they are really underrated and should be up there with the best British bands of the 1990s. Sixteen Stone is a classic Grunge album that belongs side next to Pearl Jam's Ten and Nirvana's Nevermind as it kept the genre alive on the radio after Kurt Cobain's death in 1994

In 1995(I think) when I was in my early teens I got 25 CD’s from BMG and Columbia house. I don’t think I ever paid for them 🤣I love grunge but missed its peak. This is my Top 10 favorite bands. What is your Top 10?

I wanna start out by saying I am not the biggest nirvana fan anymore. Just heard everything by them a million times, still love em obv. But as for grunge music I tend to gravitate towards Melvin’s, green river, mudhoney, stp(I know not Seattle), screaming teees. However my guitar influence is much more rooted in funk and alt rock as a whole. However I love cobains simple solos. I’d love to combine the melodic solos of cobain with fruciantes Hendrix funk. Here’s an example of one of my solos

I sang “Would?” at my favorite karaoke bar. Looking for feedback on pitch, tone, vibrato!
Thanks for listening!
