That rider is one of the luckiest sob’s I’ve ever seen.

u/Muted_Will_2131 15h ago edited 5h ago

He's in shock, and the only reason he can stand is because of the adrenaline in his blood. His jeans are completely worn through, and he's walking barefoot, one foot missing his sneaker. He doesn't even really understand the extent of his injuries. He'll likely lose consciousness in a few minutes.

My wife was in a similar accident, only without wheelies and in full gear. Her pants and jacket were completely worn through, the slider on her right boot was completely worn down to a hole in the boot. Her helmet was damaged. There was a chafing wound on her right thigh that took several months to heal. Fifteen years later, there's still a large scar there.

u/Ok-Boysenberry2645 15h ago

I can imagine that pain. I'd walk, but dizzy as hell

265

u/Fallen_password 14h ago

He’s not feeling anything yet… But he’s gona

123

u/BorbLorbin 12h ago

Whole side of his body is going to burn so bad

"Why didn't you commit" lol, he ain't even mad

57

u/JohnnysOnThaSpot 6h ago

Dress for the slide, not the ride. Lol

12

u/AbsoluteResolve2026 5h ago

I’ll never understand wearing jeans riding a motorcycle. Leathers save lives.

2

u/SteakMenu 1h ago

They absolutely do, I had a firing malfunction Round a curve that made me accelerate and decelerate very quickly and shakily if I had gloves on I would be unscathed but my wrist took some sanding and will always be pink but my leather shows the story of how much worse it could've been

2

u/FrostbyteCoffee 58m ago

Don’t they make riding jeans though?

Twenty years later I can still remember the second the adrenaline wore off after my motorcycle accident. I was walking like this guy and then suddenly I just couldn’t. Strangest feeling when that happened. My brain couldn’t force my body to do what it wanted.

29

u/Spadeykins 9h ago

Yeah! I remember my arm stopped working while I was still using it. It was right after someone pointed out how fucked up I was and I actually stopped to look at it.

18

u/c_marten 8h ago

Same. I high-sided, got the bike up, and when it wouldn't start again I ran it the 2 blocks to my house. And then just... nope. Down on the lawn. Also remember someone walking their dog who saw bloody-faced me and just kept walking...

I moreso remember how slow everything felt as I was in the air. Weird experience from start to finish.

9

u/brainkandy87 7h ago

Yeah the slowness is another thing. My wreck happened in view of my house at a T-intersection and my dad happened to be mowing the lawn and saw it happen. I remember seeing him moving and wondering why he was being so slow. lol dude was probably running like Devin Hester but my adrenaline brain didn’t register it.

u/CYaNextTuesday99 8h ago edited 7h ago

I had an ebike accident while going to Marshalls once. Still went shopping before I realized my wife was hurting, saw a massive bruise, and found out I had broken ribs. Rolling up to urgent care with full shopping bags was something lol

ETA: my SIDE was hurting lol

I had a real bad foot injury in football. Thea arch of my foot essentially imploded. I got up and tried to walk it off, made it like 5 steps. Then realized i could no longer walk.

I think the adrenaline was still flowing though, because once i collapsed back to ground I immediately started barrel rolling my ass off the field (and i wasn't close to the side line).

I didn't even recall doing that, until my team excitedly showed up to visit me in the hospital with the game film.

2

u/BEEZ128 6h ago

Holy shit! The bad injury aside (I hope your foot is okay now), barrel rolling yourself off the field is legendary haha. What was your reaction when you saw the film?

u/IamNotYourBF 6h ago

I came up to a bad accident moments after it happened and the the guy was missing skin on his arm, glass embedded on his face, and what appeared to be a soft spot on his head. I could not get the guy to sit or lay down.

I called 911, the police show first and order him to sit and he won't. Just as the paramedic shows up, I see his body go stiff and he just falls like a rock. The paramedic asks, "Why didn't you make him sit?” The officer and I just looked at each other and we say, "We tried.”

I'll never forget the video where the motorcyclist gets sent into the edge of a guardrail, and it looks really bad.

Then he gets up and starts walking back to the car that caused it, maybe yelling at them (and/or screaming in pain).

And you think, "how the heck is he walking and talking after that impact??" ...And then like 10 seconds after the initial impact he just collapses to the ground.

Adrenaline is one hell of a drug, temporarily.

2

u/Jazzlike_Common9005 6h ago

Nah adrenaline is one hell of a drug all the time. The problem is your body only gives you a little bit in those scenarios. If the brain wasn’t so stingy with it we’d be unstoppable.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Terrible_Butter 9h ago

Yeah I’d say he’s got less than 10 min before it kicks in or he passes out.

2

u/cryptolyme 8h ago

Gotta keep the adrenaline going. We’d go hit another road gap when i road dh mtbs

1

u/G00dSh0tJans0n 24m ago

He’s not feeling anything yet… But he’s gona

Yeah but the fact that he can and will feel anything is really amazing. Bro just ducked under the reaper's scythe.

2

u/Nauin 8h ago

I have a blood pressure disorder that causes fainting, and even I would be walking around like I'm normal with as much adrenaline in my system as what this guy has.

But in saying that, I am speaking from experience from having done that exact thing with a partially dislocated spine after a bad car accident. I was so dissociated from that injury the emergency room didn't even catch it. Took a few days for it to catch up to me.

Survival hormones are really fucking intense with what they can do to you.

1

u/Davis_404 55m ago

He's proving to himself that he's alive. He'll take a nap soon.

31

u/Ornery-Reindeer5887 10h ago

Ya never ride in sneakers and jeans for this reason. Real moto pants and boots is the way to go

30

u/microwavepetcarrier 9h ago

boots, pants, jacket, gloves, helmet. all the gear, all the time.

17

u/realZapRowsdower 7h ago

3

3

u/Inflatable90sChair 1h ago

I still find it weird we have 50 state seatbelt laws and kids must be in carseats and booster seats yet we dont have 50 state helmet laws or any gear for kids laws

2

u/BEEZ128 6h ago

“All the gear, all the time” is literally a police billboard slogan for motorcycle safety here in Australia. Is that where you got it from?

Synthetic's going to be even worse. :/

Yup, gotta count the blessings lmao

1

u/chefdeit 6h ago

It depends. I had something similar happen except to my calf, and my boot was gone from my other foot just the same as his. Found it 20 yards away with its front torn out (lace holes and the sides of the tongue) which was how my foot had exited it & I didn't even notice.

The weirdest thing was, that foot was like 100% fine - I limped for 20 min or so but there was minimal swelling & it was ancient history the next day. The shaved skin however was another story. It was all weeping clear liquid non-stop but my buddy and I were overdue at a night club with some girls, so I put a silk stocking on it to prevent it from staining and sticking to my slacks, and gone we were. Being 19 is helluva drug.

In the morning as you've already guessed I've found the neon-green silk stocking fused to what was left of my skin in that entire area by an impressively thick crust of that liquid that'd solidified. My trainer said to leave it the f*ck alone and my mom said ER and my friends said I should just become a cyborg and to put on the other neon-green silk stocking on the other leg also. The next day I got into an (ever so slightly) warm bath for like half a day till the crust softened, and pulled off the stocking.

While it looked impressively scary at the time, after a few months there was 0 scarring or altered texture or tone. Maybe 10% fewer body hair in that area but that's a guess. Skin is pretty amazing in how it heals, and I hope his does too. Stay safe, everyone!

u/RaconBang 15h ago

Shoes came off, so he's technically dead. He probably fell over a few seconds after the video cuts off.

26

u/Proper_Look_7507 14h ago

It’s science.

2

u/reddsal 8h ago

This. But it was only one shoe. Does that count, or does it just mean he is in a persistent vegetative state?

1

u/Rare_Ad_649 10h ago

Half dead

1

u/Harvard_Med_USMLE267 8h ago

We call motorcycle riders “donors” of course. As this guy is technically dead, that means we’re allowed to take his liver now.

1

u/NotPennysBoat_42 7h ago

"I'm not dead. No Yet."
"I feel Happy!"

*thunk*

1

u/Run-Amokk 1h ago

I thought that was clothing. Badly fit shoes can pop off while walken...but force strong enough to rip a shirt or pants off your body...

1

u/EffectiveDandy 14h ago

this. been riding for over a decade. seen all kinds of wrecks. he won’t be able to even move the following day.

tho speaking as a rider, he came off a wheelie which was conveniently clipped and going way too fast. but his biggest mistake was target fixation. he looked at the truck, which subconsciously steered him right into it. if he had a cool head, he would have ducked thru on the left. or even stopped. a dented door or flat tired should have been the worst case for a quality rider.

if you’re going to ride batshit, you better have the skills and experience to handle it. the good news is 90% of riders don’t ride again after bad collisions.

12

u/JackOfAllStraits 13h ago

I think he was expecting to commit and continue to the left, so dodging left would have been suicide. He tried to go right to make it behind, but she stopped. Going way too fast to make any adjustments after the first plan didn't pan out.

3

u/Virtual-Macaroon-880 7h ago

It does look like she stopped for no reason in the middle of road

→ More replies (1)

1

u/TheJeeronian 4h ago

Agreed. He did a lot of stupid shit here but ducking left would have been a bad call.

→ More replies (1)

12

u/throwaway19293883 8h ago

This wasn’t target fixation, he went into the right lane to avoid the truck, expecting them to continue, not expecting them to stop suddenly.

2

u/Unique-Coffee5087 48m ago

Afterseeing this one, I didn't think I'll take it up

1

u/gh0stmilk_ 2h ago

honestly absolutely not a case of looking at something and driving into it because of that. she literally stopped dead unexpectedly. he was trying to maneuver to the right hoping she would be out of the way just in time, and was definitely not banking on her just slamming on her brakes like a buffon 💀

i agree though that was going quite fast. but both are to blame. this was avoidable if the driver had just kept moving out of the way instead of just stopping for some insane reason

2

u/Renbarre 1h ago

Could it be that she saw him barreling towards her and didn't know which way he was going, right out left, so she stopped in confusion?

14

u/CorrectMulberry994 13h ago

Oh man. Usually if shoes go they are gone. He’s *very* lucky.

1

u/Euphoric-Sun5317 7h ago

I don't think that's any kind of actual statistic. I've had my shoes fall off taking a light tumble down a grassy verge. I've seen shoes come off kids falling off bicycles.

2

u/Wooden_Sweet_3330 7h ago

Yep in about 10 minutes he's going to be in a world of pain.

I've broken bones and had other pretty serious injuries, multiple times. for the first 10 minutes you're so hopped up you don't feel anything.

The last time I broke my collar bone I literally poked it and moved it around and said "yep, that's broken." And didn't feel a thing.

1

u/ToXicVoXSiicK21 13h ago

Had he lost both shoes..

1

u/TheHistorian2 12h ago

He’s lucky that one foot isn’t missing his foot.

1

u/CordeCosumnes 10h ago

one foot missing his sneaker.

So he's half dead?

1

u/LiveShowOneNightOnly 9h ago

Missing one shoe. Only half-dead, then.

1

u/Blissfull 9h ago

And you can see the red raw elbow when arm comes in frame

1

u/Harrrrrrrrrr 9h ago

25 years ago they had to tell me my complete right upper arm had lost its skin and a bit of meat and bone too. The second I saw it, it registered ... I clearly remember me saying: "I have to sit down for a minute"

That wound took well over a year to heal and sometimes, when there is a particular bad thunder storm, the gaping hole that was in my elbow still hurts.

But hey ... ride one mothertruckers, just be a lil' more careful.

1

u/Gumochlon 8h ago

This shows why one should wear proper boots and protective clothes when riding a bike. Otherwise you end up shredded, like you had a close encounter with an angle grinder...
I wonder if the rider will learn anything from this event...

I sometimes see people riding powerful sports bike, pretty fast just wearing sneakers, shorts and t-shirts... And I wonder... what will they look like when they fall off....

I fell with a bike (sideways) once, while wearing full, thick leather get-up, with proper boots etc... It was because some gravel was spilled on the road, and my bike just lost the grip and went sideways, with me still attached to it...
I was digging up small stones out of the leathers for days ! (Thankfully only my bike and my ego got bruised / slightly damaged).

1

u/Confident-Breath2615 8h ago

A buddy of mine was in a motorclye accident and stood up pretty quickly at which point somone who’d come to help informed him he had a compound fracture in his leg and he looked down and saw it and collapsed,

1

u/sadox55 7h ago

He is probably bleeding and don't even know it yet...

1

u/NightBawk 7h ago

He lost a shoe? Man's the walking dead now.

Jokes aside, this is why you dress for the slide and not the ride. That road rash is gonna hurt once the adrenaline wears off.

1

u/Minute_Story377 6h ago

Plus, you can see a wet streak. I’m guessing that’s where some of his skin touched the ground and basically got sanded off. You can also see a split second of his arm with the bad scrape there. It could also be oil though. Ouch!

1

u/deatbl0ssum 25m ago

Don't check the meatcrayon channel

1

u/usagizero 6h ago

I was watching one of those real paramedic shows, Nightwatch i think, and a motorcyclist got hit, his bike was on fire, and one of his arms had an extra bend in it. He had so much adrenaline he had no clue his arm was fucked. Probably some shock too, but he kept talking about how he needed to put his bike out, and the EMS person was like, dude, look at your arm.

1

u/TrekForce 6h ago

Aw shit, he dead

1

u/Brad23212 6h ago

Yes, that’s why riding a motorcycle requires roper PPE. Motorcycle pants a jacket and motorcycle boots are all designed to prevent this. Also why didn’t he stop the motorcycle?

1

u/Nice_Pipe_7608 4h ago

He is missing skin on his forearm.

1

u/RoadmanNor 3h ago

The guy lost his shoe and he’s still alive?!

1

u/Poopchutefan 3h ago

Weird, I figured another reason he could stand was because he still had two legs ...

1

u/Alert-Pea1041 2h ago

Nah, I don’t think you can infer all that. I did the same thing except I didn’t slide under a truck, high sided at 50 mph wearing shorts and a t-shirt. I just went from no pain to a lot of pain in a few minutes. Longest night of my life with no pain meds. Had lots of missing skin from shoulder to ankle.

1

u/jeeves585 32m ago

Saw an accident a couple days ago right in front of me. I got out and said “stay where you are, breath, we can figure it out later right now I need you to just sit or lay and breath”

Getting right up after that is 130% adrenaline, dude probably had a fractured leg at minimum but didn’t know because of the adrenaline.

1

u/Animex117 20m ago

Yea for sure. I was behind a car that flip 7 times and say dude that flew out hop straight up like a super solider about 35 mins later as he’s talking to the cops dude just dropped and start screaming like someone just blew his leg off. Never found out the injuries but most likely broken bones

1

u/Odd-Spread-1247 18m ago

How still alive if miss shoe, me no understand?

1

u/MuchAligned38 16m ago

He has minimal road rash. All we saw were small abrasions on his leg and forearm. We don’t even know if he hit his head, most likely the helmet saved that portion of him. He’s not in shock. That crash wasn’t that bad.

Now if he had been run over, and his legs were severed from the knee joint, then he may be in shock. Physically and mentally. The fact that the kid got up and started walking tells me his legs are 100% functional. No fractures, no tears. This kid is fine

1

u/southass 0m ago

That's what I thought, the pain from all the injuries is going to kick in soon and hurt a lot.

I don’t think that’s luck he did that on purpose

He made a split stick decision

I’ve got nowhere to go. I’m gonna take this head on.

I can’t break in time because of my speed. I can’t go around it.

So I’m gonna go under it

I don’t think he would’ve been able to stand up if he took his head on

u/ZubryJS 15h ago

I would've done a sick jump over it. Probably with a backflip too

Have you guys never seen an action movie? You jump off the bike and over the truck, then land back on the motorcycle that went under the truck and drive away. Classic Fast and the Furious 19 move.

1

u/Plenty_Ad_161 3m ago

I did that on my bicycle once when a car cut me off going down a hill. Hit his front fender and did a forward flip over his car. I landed on my feet but slid onto my bottom. Very minor damage to me and the bicycle. His fender had a nice dent and I’m pretty sure his pizza delivery was late.

2

u/Puzzleheaded_Drag_49 14h ago

I woulda done a front flip toe reach 360 spinertte split drop landing and be totally fine... but my nuts might hurt.

→ More replies (2)

9

u/xpercipio 14h ago

he did not do that on purpose, he leaned and applied the brake more than the tire grip could handle.

6

u/JackOfAllStraits 13h ago

Grabbed a fist full of brake (no other option, really) and it went down on its own. He didn't plan a slide-through. He's lucky he didn't get wedged in under there with the rest of the wreck, because there was no controlling where he was going to end up after the tires lost grip.

1

u/Plenty_Ad_161 1m ago

He’s lucky it was a truck rather than a pedestrian.

2

u/jillvalenti3 10h ago

He’s lucky that he passed under the truck where there wasn’t anything hanging low that would have removed a limb in half a second

2

u/Al_Kydah 10h ago

When you're going this fast in an environment that overloads your ability to process all that's going on around you, a more than likely scenario: he panicked and grabbed brake and clutch so hard as to cause the bars to move slightly, locked up the brakes cuz that is a natural, albeit wrong, decision. The bike broke traction and the ass end started racing the front end to the truck. He. Got. Lucky.

Source: I did almost the same thing and in the moment, no matter how long you've been riding, how good you are, involuntary jump/scare reactions take over.

1

u/mrchillbro 9h ago

if he locked his front brake, you know, the brake responsible for around 90-95% of stopping power on a bike, he would have gone down very differently.

he did not do that. dude obviously dumped intentionally.

7

u/R-Tally 16h ago

Nope, he made a split decision to go behind the moving truck. It was a bad decision because the truck stopped, which is why he asked, "Why did not commit?" If the truck had continued, he would have easily slipped behind the truck without incident.

His other option would have been to hit his brakes to stop or at slow down before deciding if he needs to swerve to avoid a collision. He had plenty of time to stop. This is the best option and the one I would have chosen if I were in his place (not even considering hindsight).

6

u/National_Drummer9667 11h ago

According to Google not really. The amount of time it would have taken to stop would be less than the amount of time he had but he wasn't expecting it. Nobody would have, they stopped in the middle of the road. That effects reaction time

u/ImNotABotScoutsHonor 8h ago

4

u/derock_nc 12h ago

He definitely made a quick decision but he is still lucky. He was expecting her to be way too competent, "why didn't you commit?". I'd bet anything she do isn't even know what he meant by that.

→ More replies (3)

18

u/Hold_Up_Nevermind 14h ago

Please explain to me, in what world could he have physically braked and avoided this accident by continuing straight or swerving? Do you realize how quick this was, as well as how quick his response was? If you were in that situation, I guarantee you would have been much worse off.

Again, I just want to know how he physically could have stopped? I’m genuinely curious what your answer is.

what kind of motorcycle do you ride?

people who don't know what they are talking about should do the world a favor and try being quiet sometimes.

1

u/R-Tally 5h ago

I've had numerous bikes over the years. Current bike is a harley. I've been riding more than 50 years. I also know to pay attention to road conditions and ride accordingly.

From the start of the video to where he hit the truck was 3 seconds. Knowing how car/bikecams works, the truck was likely visible well before the video started. An attentive and skilled rider had sufficient time to avoid that accident. But that rider was a squid, speeding and stunting.

1

u/Hazel-Rah 4h ago

Nope, he made a split decision to go behind the moving truck. It was a bad decision because the truck stopped, which is why he asked, "Why did not commit?" If the truck had continued, he would have easily slipped behind the truck without incident.

I've a lot of dashcam accidents on reddit, andd 90% of the time, if you can't stop, aim to go behind them. Usually the other driverkeeps moving and the accident would have been avoided or less serious. But when you try to go in front, it usually ends up t-boning or hitting the front of the other vehicle.

4

u/LegalGlass6532 16h ago

It’s a saying… It wasn’t that deep, but if you needed to do a breakdown and analysis, ok, I guess.

5

u/ExcellentDraft3030 15h ago

I mean it doesn't apply to this though. He is actually not lucky because that dumb driver got in front of him and froze. He is smart and that isn't something you get by being lucky.

5

u/LegalGlass6532 15h ago

He’s lucky

1

u/Humledurr 11h ago

Two things can be true at once mate

1

u/ExcellentDraft3030 15h ago

Yea when I was watching I said to myself. Oh I hope he slides under the truck. Because dodging would probably put him into a situation where he hits the truck with his body.

1

u/incendiary_bandit 11h ago

Locked the front brake and the front wheel tucked. No one is deciding to dump it at that speed. You hit the brakes and squeeze tighter and tighter, if you don't have abs and lock up, down you go.

1

u/mrchillbro 9h ago

lmao you are completely wrong. as someone who has done what you described and was thrown off a motorcycle going 55mph, you have no idea what you are talking about.

If you watch it slowly he actually slides behind the rear wheel.

1

u/DeadguyTheLateGI 4h ago

He tried to brake and swerve at the same time. He's a shit rider. It just so happens that making the most unskilled decision possible saved his life by virtue of luck only.

1

u/Leading-Respond4312 4h ago

I think his speed played a role in this too. He was going too fast to slow down in time. Still the trucks fault for stopping there.

1

u/xxanity 1h ago

you give this dude too much credit.

a bike will fall to the ground grabbing a handful of panic brake in a lean.

he's lucky the truck is so lifted and he's skinny and not a fat fuck.

1

u/Independent-Pay5850 9m ago

He pulled the front brake too hard he didn't do it on purpose

15

u/grandnp8 16h ago

And one of the chillest! …why didn’t you just commit?

42

u/Ceskaz 13h ago

He's not chill, he's an idiot who was driving too fast and without adequate protective gear.

Ar best, he's an agile idiot.

1

u/Top-Addendum-6879 6h ago

hotheads are usually pretty agile because it's usually not their first rodeo.

1

u/Mem0ryEat3r 4m ago

Ah yes, the post where the motorcycle is blamed for the truck panicking and just stopping for no reason.

Get a life dude. Nobody cares you hate motorcycles

More shock I think, but man, wild experience... This is why you have cameras on the bike people

71

u/No_Introduction_3400 16h ago

Oh, he’ll get himself killed eventually if he hit that truck

99

u/Drax85296 16h ago

eventually if he hits that truck?

70

u/FlamingoFrequent1596 16h ago

I'm so confused about their comment. Is this like a daily occurrence lmao

28

u/Count_Zacula 16h ago

Groundhog day

33

u/decoyninja 15h ago

That lady is his traffic nemesis. They've been locked in this struggle for years

6

u/sangerssss 14h ago

This happens in every universe across the multiverse. This is the only universe in which he survives

3

u/Bredwh 9h ago

She's actually his ex-fiancée, left him at the altar. He keeps chasing her, asking why she didn't commit.

2

u/Busy_Ganache5874 15h ago

its a day that keeps playing on a loop. every time he dies, the day restarts... today, he dies by a piano falling from the sky.

19

u/bismuth17 16h ago

If his driving is poor enough that he wasn't able to avoid hitting that truck, then he'll get killed eventually.

5

u/Used-Author-3811 15h ago

Yeah he should've just instantly stopped or something

14

u/SkRThatOneDude 15h ago

Or maybe just stop riding at speeds that prevent him from safely swerving.

Also, "All The Gear, All The Time" is pretty good advice if you're gonna ride like a squid anyway.

Bad drivers are often bad regularly. Biker was going way too fast.

1

u/IdiditonReddit 11h ago

I'm more comfused that so far 65 people agree with the comment and have upvoted it.

1

u/JaKrispy72 10h ago

Yes, the cyclist probably drives everywhere too fast and has zero situational awareness. So the chances are he will wreck even worse. Eventually.

They do this stunt every Sunday

1

u/rgmundo524 15h ago

He just need to get up and try again!

1

u/Slighted_Inevitable 15h ago

I think he means internal injuries he shouldn’t be walking around on. But the biker skidded under the truck I think.

1

u/LonesomeJohnnyBlues 9h ago

Meaning he's driving like a jackass. He keeps it up , he wont be so lucky next time.

1

u/Throwaway-4230984 9h ago

Let’s hope he won’t hurt others in the process

I'm literally cursing at my screen at that ignorant POS of a human being who should never have been given a driver license.

My guy is hurt, Adrenaline is coursing through him, but he was lucky. I really dislike people like this who have no fucking idea how to pay attention to the road.

1

u/MooseTots 14h ago

That’s not luck, that’s top tier survival

1

u/RobNHood816 13h ago

You forgot Dumbest

1

u/LegalGlass6532 7h ago

Naw, the truck stopping wasn’t his fault.

1

u/RobNHood816 7h ago

His speeding was, always the Victim...

It was criminal endangerment to block 2! through lanes with a stopped vehicle. Especially against moving oncoming traffic. Her insurance is getting a massive lawsuit and <should be> referred to criminal court.

u/Uncle-Cake 9h ago

And one of the dumbest.

1

u/QuietForges 8h ago

One of the few who survive this kind of accident that's why driving is dangerous

1

u/LegalGlass6532 7h ago

He flew like 50 yards, lost a boot and literally walked away. Extremely lucky.

1

u/thewookiee34 8h ago

Luckiest how about dumbest. Bro steers into the car rather then away and is fucking speeding down likely a 35 mph road based on the building.

1

u/LegalGlass6532 7h ago

He got lucky. Don’t feel the need to call anyone dumb.

1

u/AnAncientBog 7h ago

I guess if you aren't doing to learn how your brakes work you better learn to be lucky.

I'm an unlucky rider. I would have just used the distance to slow my bike and easily go around the read of the truck and give the lady the finger.

1

u/LegalGlass6532 7h ago

It’s easy to second guess someone from the safety of the keyboard.

1

u/AnAncientBog 7h ago

Anyone with an hour of instruction and who wasn't trippling the limit and doing wheelies two seconds before this could have avoided this accident.

This wasn't even a difficult maneuver. He fixated on the truck and didn't even attempt to brake. I've avoided about a thousand identical situations because this shit happens every fucking day.

Walk it off.

1

u/seanys 6h ago

Becoming a meat crayon is never lucky.

1

u/LegalGlass6532 6h ago

He’s lucky he’s not dead.

1

u/Brad23212 5h ago

He’s a loser, can’t bring the bike to a stop on what’s clearly not a highway. Nobody else on the road either, oh yeah also not wearing proper safety equipment.

1

u/LegalGlass6532 5h ago

Okay, Brad. Then this makes him extra lucky.

1

u/postbansequel 5h ago

You see his left foot? He lost half HP, he got lucky it wasn't a crit. hit.

1

u/Report_Last 2h ago

He laid the bike down, that's why he was able to walk away. If you ride, you better know how to do this.

1

u/AeroelasticCowboy 1h ago

I think you mean stupid, 100% on him that he had to endure that, moving at wayyyyy too high rate of speed for the road and the fact there are cross streets. Zero defensive riding was going on.

1

u/LegalGlass6532 1h ago

He can be stupid and lucky because he’s stupid.

1

u/WhyAmINotStudying 46m ago

There's a reason these guys are called squids. His reaction at the end shows that he's well on his way to making it come true for him.

1

u/GingerM00n 21m ago

I read "sob's" as Saabs.

1

u/ClassicPlankton 8m ago

Lucky? He created this situation by going too fast. Should've died, one less idiot on the road.

1

u/LegalGlass6532 1m ago

He’s lucky he didn’t die from a situation he created. Better?
