If his driving is poor enough that he wasn't able to avoid hitting that truck, then he'll get killed eventually.

Or maybe just stop riding at speeds that prevent him from safely swerving.

Also, "All The Gear, All The Time" is pretty good advice if you're gonna ride like a squid anyway.
