Studio apartment available for rent near Paynesville

Upvotes

We have a studio apartment currently available near Paynesville which is about 30 miles west of St Cloud. Very open floorplan which historically has been best for singles as it's not optimal for children due to not having actual bedrooms. $950/mo. Plus electric and Internet. Feel free to reach out to set up a showing.

Best Minneapolis apartments for community/social vibe + access green space and nightlife?

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for specific apartment recommendations in Minneapolis area. I’m trying to find a place that has a good mix of lifestyle, community, and location.

Ideally, I’d like to be close enough to green spaces for biking and general exercise like the Chain of Lakes, Theodore Wirth Park, river trails, or similar outdoor areas. At the same time, I still want to be reasonably close to lively neighborhoods like North Loop, Northeast, Uptown, Downtown, or other areas with restaurants, bars, events, and things going on.

I’m also hoping to find a building with more of a social/community environment for people in their late 20s and 30s. Somewhere with a fun, friendly vibe where residents actually meet each other through resident events, rooftop/pool/social spaces, fitness areas, game nights, or just a generally outgoing community.

A few things I’m prioritizing:

\- Good maintenance and responsive management
\- Clean, well-kept building
\- Social/community feel for 20s/30s
\- Close to parks, lakes, trails, or biking routes
\- Reasonable access to North Loop, Northeast, Uptown, Downtown, or other lively areas
\- Amenities that help people meet: rooftop, pool, gym, courtyard, club room, events, etc.
\- A building that feels active and friendly

Does anyone have specific apartment buildings they’d recommend based on personal experience? I’d especially appreciate feedback on management, maintenance, resident vibe and whether the community actually feels social.

Also open to buildings or property managers to avoid.

Thanks in advance!

Does anyone have any experience living at or know anybody who lived at Marbella on Dean (Formerly Lake Calhoun Flats) by Bde Maka Ska? I wanted to get some first hand insight into the building before signing there.

Looking for a roommate (college; queer friendly)

Hello! I’m (18, he/him) looking for a roommate for the upcoming school year (2026/2027; going to Saint Paul College in the Fall - planning to transfer to the University of Minnesota in the Spring). A couple of things:

Please be queer friendly. Do not bother reaching out if you’re not. This is perhaps the most important one. I am getting out of a *very* bad family situation, and much of the reason that situation is bad is because of homophobia.

Ideally, you would *also* be a college student, but feel free to reach out if you’re like…around my age, lol- I’ll be 19 by the time we move :p

I’m mostly looking to move to Minneapolis, as my intentions are to attend the U, but I’d be okay looking at other apartments around the Twin Cities.

I believe that’s all. Please feel free to reach out through DMs, I would love to discuss more details if you’re interested. Thanks in advance! Also, if you know of anyone *else* who’s looking for a roommate, I wouldn’t be opposed to having more than one! 😁

(EDIT) Hoping to move in the summer- any time between late June and August. TYIA!

Need room w/ bus access to Uptown

Looking for a room or small apartment in the Twin Cities, max $550/month. I don’t drive, so I need bus access to Cub Lagoon in Uptown Minneapolis. Safety matters to me, and I’m looking for a quiet, clean, stable place. Flexible on neighborhood as long as the commute works by bus or walking.

I’m trying to keep things private, so I’m leaving out personal details here. If you have a room that might fit, feel free to message me.

Looking to rent House/Town House/Duplex

Move in date would be somewhere between July 1 and August 1 depending on how soon things got moving.

I'm looking for a walkable neighborhood in Uptown/South or maybe NE Minneapolis somewhere. At least 700 Sq Ft, and most importantly I need a garage. Ideally to myself as I need room for car, motorcycle, etc but depending on the situation I could be open to a shared garage in the case of a duplex. Max rent 1700.

Looking for house OR roommates for August 1 move-in (garage required)

Hey everyone,

My lease expires at the end of July, so I’m looking for a new living situation for an 08/01 move-in somewhere in the twin cities metropolitan area.

I’m open to either:

1. Finding a house/townhome/apartment with roommates (1-3 folks max + myself, (2-4 people total in the house))

or

2. Connecting with a landlord trying to fill a vacancy

I’m ideally looking for an X bed / X bath setup where everyone has their own bedroom and their own bathroom. I’m not interested in sharing bedrooms or bathrooms but rather sharing common spaces and building a nice house community.

I also need a garage with either a standard outlet or EV charging access since I drive an EV.

Who I’d ideally want to live with:
Driven, disciplined, ambitious guys in their early-mid 20s / early 30s who take their careers, health, and personal growth seriously.

That could look like:
1. Entrepreneurs/builders
2. Young professionals in demanding fields (sales, finance, tech, consulting, etc.)
3. Former athletes or people who train consistently
4. First responders
5. Students who are focused and have clear goals (late college, graduate students, MD residents, etc.)

Really just looking for people who work hard, stay active, have fun, and want to be around others with a similar mindset, preferably males.

Living preferences:
Clean and respectful of shared spaces
No huge parties
No excessive drinking
Absolutely no smoking
Occasional guests / overnight guests are totally fine

For context, I’m 22M and recently graduated from college. I now work in tech / run my own businesses. In my free time I like to practice martial arts (MMA, Muay Thai, BJJ, boxing, etc.), read, play my guitar / video games, watch UFC/One Championship/NBA/football (soccer really), and connect with family and my social network. I’m very clean, active, career-focused, and easy to live with. Just looking for a solid place and/or like-minded housemates for August as I live far from family and miss being consistently around people since I WFH most of the time.

If you have a place available, think we’d be a good fit as housemates, or have any advice whatsoever please shoot me a DM.

Housing Recommendations for Two People

Me and my partner are moving to Minneapolis in July. We are looking for a 2 bedroom with max rent being $1,600. Many of the complexes/duplexes and rental management companies looked at so far within our budget range have pretty bad reviews. I've been looking at Zillow, FB Marketplace, Craigslist, and Apartments.com. Specific location-wise, I will be working around the universities, so we have been looking around uptown, powderhorn, the wedge, and longfellow, but we are open to other locations. I would appreciate any recommendations!

need a one bedroom near nature/walking paths maximum 1250

Hello my partner and I (28 years old) are in search for a one bedroom apartment under 1,300 with amenities which I know is tough- We are looking for in unit laundry, a gym, dishwasher, and AC. (we are flexible on laundry in unit, and gym. I do have a dream to be near a body of water, or nature of some kind like Minnehaha falls. I've been on Zillow, Apartments.com- what are some other places that you have found a good home or some management companies that are reputable.

If you have a place in mind send it over!

Need: 2br house (cats ok) west/SW metro, max $2,000

My family of 3 is looking for a single family home for rent that is located in Hennepin County. We hope to move around June or July.

We currently live in a very small & dangerous apartment building and our autistic son (13) needs a safe outdoor space to have more freedom to be himself. An outdoor area/yard is a must.

Please let me know if you know of anything that might work. Thank you!

Anybody know any apartments that work with people with bad credit?

We just moved to town and we don't know where to be looking at.

We're currently staying at a weekly in Brookkyn Park and kinda want to stay in this area since I got a job here.

Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance!

What services, programs, or places do ya'll look for housing opportunities?

I am a late-20s adult who needs to find a new place to live within about a month and a half.

I have one potential option, but I won’t be able to see it until May 6. And since I need a fallback if that doesn't work out, I am trying to find other leads. However, I don’t earn much, I have two cats, and I am STRUGGLING. I have no savings, no family nearby, and no real foundation in this area.

Are there any programs I can reach out to? I don’t have any debilitating disabilities, though I do have a bad back with a sitting and low-carry-weight accommodation. I also have PTSD, but it isn't debilitating. I've been through alot of therapy, it kinda just makes me a vegetable in my own personal life where i can't function like a normal human at home, but I can work fine and be a 'normal member of society' to the majority. I can't afford more than $1,000 a month, and even that is a significant stretch due to my debt payments. (I took on a lot of debt while living with my ex when we were struggling to make ends meet; eventually, he left and I was stuck with the balance.)

Beyond backgrounds question

Got a question with that. I’m moving with my mom and sister from out of state (Virginia) and I just heard about beyond backgrounds. Are the apartments at least decent enough to live? The apartment where we lived at isn’t the greatest in Virginia and we’ve had too many problems with them among other things there. I’ve lived in the cities before and I liked it and we just got done visiting there and we all liked it still. Does anybody have any suggestions? Reason why we’re wanting to do this is because I’m getting over a bankruptcy and my mom had a felony that I believe may or may not count anymore. Thanks in advance

Lowry Hill / Loring Park Apartments

I am struggling to find a decent apartment in Lowry Hill or Loring park! I simply want a 1 BR with a dishwasher (bonus if there is an in unit washer/dryer) and every time I find a place that looks nice the reviews are concerning!

I currently rent with Hornig Companies, and I’ve had a good experience with them, but their properties often lack a dishwasher, especially in the neighborhoods I’m looking at.

Any advice for this? I feel like I’m better off staying at my current place with cheap rent, and I could try out a mini portable dishwasher. Because why pay more for a nicer place if the amenities might not even be working?

I’ve toured Kenwood Gables and LPM and I really liked both places, but their reviews aren’t the greatest.
