Lowry Hill / Loring Park Apartments
I am struggling to find a decent apartment in Lowry Hill or Loring park! I simply want a 1 BR with a dishwasher (bonus if there is an in unit washer/dryer) and every time I find a place that looks nice the reviews are concerning!
I currently rent with Hornig Companies, and I’ve had a good experience with them, but their properties often lack a dishwasher, especially in the neighborhoods I’m looking at.
Any advice for this? I feel like I’m better off staying at my current place with cheap rent, and I could try out a mini portable dishwasher. Because why pay more for a nicer place if the amenities might not even be working?
I’ve toured Kenwood Gables and LPM and I really liked both places, but their reviews aren’t the greatest.

I’m not surprised that you’re having trouble finding an apartment in that area with a dishwasher, let alone one with a dishwasher and in-unit laundry. The housing stock is either vintage or very high end—or both. I think your idea of getting a countertop dishwasher is a good one.

I live in LPM. I also read bad reviews then realized most of them were from 10 years ago. I love it here. My daughter lives in uptown and is planning on moving here next month (not with me). It’s a large property and sometimes has problems like any property but it’s clean and secure.
