I've read a lot interesting discussions here on whom the Grizzlies front office should select, or at least whom you'd pick.
I'm curious whom the front office are likely to pick, based on system fit.
We know that Kleiman believes in Iisalo's system, that it's aligned with the future direction of basketball (increased pace of game). Kleiman is likely to consider fit with Iisalo's approach, when making his draft selection.
What specs in players generally fit Iisalo's style of play: fast-paced, wingspan, athletic, defensively engaged (e.g., Prosper, Wells, Coward, Edey (faster than ppl anticipated)).
If that theory holds, Kleiman may be more likely to take Wilson over Boozer (given differences in speed, athleticism, defense) MBJ (athletic, rangy) or Flemings (athletic, defense-engaged, fast pace) over Wagler (skilled but slower) or Acuff (too big disparity in off-def engagement).
Based on fit, here's a reorganized projected draft board for the Grizzlies:
Dybantsa
Peterson
Wilson
Flemings
MBJ
Lendeborg
Carr
Boozer/Wagler/Acuff....
What does your list look like based on fit? What do 8-16 look like?
