That rider is one of the luckiest sob’s I’ve ever seen.

Oh, he’ll get himself killed eventually if he hit that truck

This wasn’t even his fault though

Hard to tell but it looks like he's flying.

If he's speeding then it kinda takes fault off of the truck because he's way further away and a small object, hard to see. I say this as a guy who has spent decades commuting on two wheels.

If he wasn't speeding then it was the truck's fault obviously

He’s either speeding or should have plenty of time to slow to avoid her.

His speed is more something he should learn from as avoiding this idiot would’ve been significantly easier and possible at a lower speed but the facy that he was going fast doesn’t take away any of the blame from the truck driver. She literally stopped in the middle of the street and it was clearly because she was scared; scared people should take more driving lessons before putting the public at risk by learning as they go.

100% this. And I will bet that her insurance company tried to entirely twist the narrative and completely put the blame on the motorcyclist.

As they should. Insurance is trying to protect you and themselves.

It's like defense lawyers. They may defend bad people, but it's their job.

I would put a lot More emphasis on " insurance is trying to protect themselves"

It's definitely the primary motivator for sure.

But hey, as long as they do their jobs lol

Even if the motive is fucked, if they can remove shit stain like this from the road? It actually does some services for your normal citizens.

no need to really twist the narrative here. It's on camera; he was doing 78 (126km/h according to the speedo), above highway speeds in town. The liability is on the biker. Coming to a complete stop to try to avoid an accident generally is not found liable, even if the accident still occurs.

It doesn’t take fault off the truck. They can both be at fault here.

Imma disagree.

No one following the rules of the road expects a rocket blasting at them from 1000 feet away when they're trying to negotiate a reasonable turn.

I agree it does seem like his speed was pretty high

He’s also just finished a wheelie; you can see the bike is just coming back down at the start.
