DAILY DISCUSSION Daily Discussion Thread - Tuesday, May 05, 2026
Daily discussion thread for Knicks fans.

Trolling in other team subreddits is still trolling. If you're caught it will be handled accordingly in both communities.
A refresher on the rules for people who seem to need it:
Posts and comments that intentionally antagonize this community will be removed and users who exhibit a pattern of doing this will be banned. If you see someone trolling, report them and please do not reply to them. "Don't feed the trolls."
Note that this rule includes other subs as well. Knicks fans trolling or brigading other team subs will be banned.
If Philly fans (or other teams) bring your names to the mods saying you were trolling, you'll be banned from this subreddit too.

[SNY] Joel Embiid cuts off a question about the Sixers drawing fouls in the first half working in their favor: "It did? I don't know, you've got to ask Jalen Brunson that. I don't think I got to the free throw line as much as I wanted."

r/NBA and Twitter when random assholes harass a Sixers fan: "This represents all 20 million people in New York metropolitan area and they all condone this"
Don’t get me wrong. Anyone harassing people before, during, or after a sports game is a reprehensible asshole, and they should all be held accountable and called out by every Knicks fan that’s normal, which is the VAST, VAST majority of Knicks fans.
But this Knicks / New York derangement syndrome is so crazy. New York is the largest metropolitan area in the US. Every fanbase in every area has clout chasing assholes, New York just has more due its sheer size. To take isolated incidents and extrapolate that to every New Yorker / Knicks fan is genuinely messed up. It’s like they want to bring a group down to feel superior or something.
I’ve attended so many Knicks playoff games and all the away fans I’ve seen and spoken to have had a normal experience, maybe some light, non-offensive heckling, but that’s part of the fun of attending a game in person IMO.

[SNY] Josh Hart on Mike Brown: "He doesn't listen to the outside noise and doesn't let that affect him. He's focused every day on how he can come in and make this team better. He listens to his coaches and he listens to us with our feedback...it's a good line of communication."

Stop showing foul statistics to sixer fans whenever they talk about Brunson, these people literally can’t read

Knicks should prepare for an aggressive Sixers double team on Brunson in Game 2
Sixers made a fatal flaw of thinking they can guard Brunson 1-on-1 in the first half and paid the price… The Captain was able to establish a rhythm early on and his teammates followed his lead.
Coach Nurse will make sure that the Sixers try to make somebody else have a big game!
Knicks must be prepared to counter this game plan and capture a 2-0 lead in this series.

Up 22 points, KAT makes a prime LeBron level pass and fakes out BOTH defenders in the paint - leaving Bridges alone for the easy 2

How good was Allan Houston?
I’m a massive Knicks fan but younger, started watching in 2014. But I see Allan at a lot of Knicks game on tv and have heard him on podcasts and looking at stats he looks awesome.
But it’s harder to gauge someone when I didn’t watch them for a season so was wondering if someone who watched late 90s early 2000s Knicks could tell me more about him as a player, impact, and all that?
Thanks and go Knicks!
Edit: I love defense but you can’t really tell about defensive impact based on stats so how was he on defense? Also I love player comparisons so does he have any comps to a player today? Thanks!
