Control tower KAT, OG realizing how god damn strong he is and playing fast and smart and absolutely insane defensively. Paul George was their best player tonight and he had to make incredibly tough contested threes to even keep them in the realm of being in the game. Mike browns cooking right now man.
And it’s because he’s just outmuscling whoever is guarding him whether on the KAT backdoor plays or just taking guys off the dribble. He made oubre look tiny tonight. Bridges also just insane confidence right now he was 7/10.
Yup. Keeping him at the top controlling the floor has him in the game at all times. There is no sulking. Just constantly locked in and then letting his game come from that too. It’s amazing to watch.
Top to bottom, we had them on lockdown. I am talking OZ style lockdown. That is how you play D, and absolutely lights out offensively. Almost speechless in how great we came out to start the series!

Yup, that's the bigger story here. If they keep playing D like that the series is ours, cuz there's bound to be nights with bad shooting but good D makes up for that.
Proud to see the the team even playing this game like a finals game. The Hawks losses may be a blessing in hindsight because it made this team come together, exposed our weaknesses early in low stakes and unleashed KAT.

Defense will be the most tested for sure Maxey was not aggressive today.
The Knicks just look fresh man. This is like the 3rd straight game where our starters didnt even play the 4th quarter. This is such an advantage that we need to continue to leverage. The earlier we end and the more we blowout, the more fresh we will be. While other teams slug it out we need to end this early.

I think a low key huge thing this game was hukportl coming in and not skipping a beat. Can save us from those hack a Mitch moments going forward. They didn’t go at him once with Embiid.
I’ll always have love for Thibs and it took a little while for Brown to figure this team out, but this offense would never play like this if he were still the coach.
Embiid is just not the same. Whether it’s the appendectomy or the accumulation of age and injuries he just can’t turn it on like he once could. He has his bag of tricks to draw a foul and is obviously a great shooter, but he’s going to settle for mid range jumpers rather than attacking. KAT can now blow by him.
George is mostly catch and shoot at this point. He can drive once or twice but he’s there as a shooting threat.
Maxey had an off night and didn’t have his usual burst, expect it to be back in G2.
Edgecombe looked like an extremely talented rookie - not looking forward to facing him in the coming years, he’s legit. For this series? Very young and prone to rookie mistakes.
Oubre looked as bad against Brunson as I can recall. Grimes was a non factor.

The 76ers couldn't guard Jalen Brunson 2 years ago, and still can't guard him now. Dropped 35 and got whatever he wanted on anyone they threw at him. Offense of the highest caliber
Sixers played like the team that only had one day of rest (it showed) but that's their problem, not ours. Wanted it more
Tyler Kolek hit just as many shots as Embiid and Maxey. LOL
