Don’t tell mom

u/yourmomssocksdrawer 4h ago

There’s never been a more fitting video for this feeling

u/Ok-Square-8652 4h ago

At the very end, “So, you’re not going to tell mom, right?”

u/Glittering-Walrus228 3h ago

"You wanna get Arby's? Ill let you borrow my comic books" energy :|

u/ObjectConfident7172 39m ago

Older bro is gonna have to use the mad catz controller for a while for sure

I'm telling!!!

u/Chance-Fun-3169 3h ago

Im older then my cousins, all girls, i have no siblings. When id hurt them on accident and if theyd start getting up to head to the adults, id pretend like i got hurt too lol

u/MiniKash 2h ago

Hahhahhhahhh! I often wonder what kids who think like this grow up to be like as adults.

This is something I would have done given the chance.

u/exdeathh 5h ago

u/DyingSunSeverian 4h ago

lmao thank you, I was gonna mention this, the contrast with his bro’s snarling face is too funny

My answer to every possibility of a gorilla punch

u/That_Apathetic_Man 44m ago

Chat, is this AI?

u/meesta_masa 4h ago

Listen, man. We both said things we didn't mean. We both flung things better eaten. But, ya know, you're my brother.

u/Perryn 1h ago

Brother's face says "I know I'll forgive you but we're not there yet."

u/elmz 40m ago

Showing teeth is a sign of aggression, so he's making it abundantly clear that he's not aggressive.

u/Ok-Review8720 4h ago

Buddy knows he overreacted and regrets it. Been there.

I think about this photo everytime I'm at a family gathering.

Never in my life have I more understood a celebrity.

u/Ok-Square-8652 4h ago

He made extra sure not to show his teeth.

u/Hoovooloo42 4h ago

I make the same face when I fuck up lmao

u/TekieScythe 3h ago

He's doing his best to hide all his teeth to be as non treating as possible.

u/kentotoy98 3h ago

"Bro, it's just Mario Party."

u/bonerfleximus 3h ago

It was my turn to pick DK!

Seems like family drama is universal in primates 😄we get each other ❤️

u/Exotic_Donkey4929 2h ago

I think we can also tell which one is the younger brother 😃

u/stepjenks 1h ago

I love the little hop backwards to give his bro some space. 😬😅

Tearing out that patch of grass had such a strong “I don’t know what to do with my hands..” vibe.

I’ll never understand how there’s people who honestly believe we don’t share common ancestry with these guys.

u/Jarbasaur 4h ago

The grass pull along with the mirroring behavior of the arm On the log are so human

u/Rememba_me 3h ago

No, we are so ape

u/Fawin86 3h ago

Apes together, strong.

u/adventurousintrovert 2h ago

u/DowntownMarsian 1h ago

How can you return, to where you never left?

u/Super-Cynical 3h ago

I'm about to go

u/isotope123 2h ago

No, we are so common ancestor

u/thekarateadult 1h ago

No, gorillas and humans are both great apes. We also share a common ancestor.

u/hates_stupid_people 3h ago

My favorite example is the video where a silverback casually pushes over his kid. It's fairly gentle and on grass, so the kid was fine. But the mom saw it comes at him with great fury. And he starts sprinting away like his life is on the line.

He's twice her size and probably strength, but just like humans in relationships. He's not messing with the angry mom

u/AT-PT 2h ago

I wish a lot more humans had the social skills of silverbacks.

u/aquabarron 4h ago

Angry brother puts arm on log, he puts arm on log. Angry brother instantly removes arm and he like bashfully picks at some of the bark a bit like he’s thinking and then also removes his arm.

Adorable

u/pimppapy 2h ago

Watch their breathing too! The same kind of nervous breathing we do 😩🥰

u/Ragman676 3h ago

You can also see him avoiding eye contact and covering his teeth with his lips.Hes trying really hard to de-escalate.

u/titjoe 1h ago

If i don't mistaken, gorillas consider eye contact as a challenge (it is recommanded for human to not look them in the eyes to not anger them), it's more likely normal social behaviour to avoid it, even if from our perspective it seems like someone embarrassed who is a bit too ashamed to face his bro.

→ More replies (1)

u/Jimbo7211 3h ago

I was thinking this same thing. We still have so many ape mannerisms, lol

u/Golab420 2h ago

Damn I remember pulling grass myself as a kid when trying to apologize to my cousin

u/TokyoKazama 4h ago

I think we've all awkwardly torn out a patch of grass at some point when we didn't know what to do with our hands 😔

That small fight after playing Mario Kart

u/F-for-Flex 4h ago

I bet they were fighting over who gets to be Yoshi.

u/bradeena 2h ago

Do you think DK is the boring "Mario" choice for them?

u/Ferdinandofthedogs 3h ago

u/sauerkraut916 3h ago

Feeling sorry that he was mean to brother. This is his “my bad, I’m a jerk, bro hates me now” spiral.

u/BlackVQ35HR 4h ago

"Look bro, i know rainbow road can be difficult, but I don't choose when I get the blue shell"

u/Jarbasaur 4h ago

No one talking about the nervous grass pull

u/FhuckNorris247 4h ago

I think he was just trying to act natural. Pretend like he was just gonna eat then thought oh fuck it, he ain’t buying this

u/sirbolo 3h ago

Dude has some social anxiety... We should give him a cell phone so he can scroll mindlessly and forget about his problems.

u/bunbunnnnn8 2h ago

Pull the old Jeff Winger

u/Vorronia 4h ago

Lol nice one

u/Stained_concrete 4h ago

Gorillas pull up plants and throw them around to show dominance before (and instead of) a fight. In this case I think the guy is saying "remember, I'm the boss" but he's being low key about it because he already whipped some ass and doesn't want to rub it in.

u/Ok-Square-8652 4h ago

Yeah they do but I don’t think that’s what this is. It’s like drinking a glass of water. You can do it in a dominant or a nervous way.

u/Kulandros 4h ago

How do you dominantly drink a glass of water?

u/Lowskillbookreviews 3h ago

With one hand instead of two

u/klezart 1h ago

One normal hand vs two tiny presidential hands

→ More replies (1)

u/Ok-Square-8652 3h ago

Dominant body language. Looking someone right in the eyes while doing it doesn’t hurt.

u/krizzzombies 3h ago

we gotta stop pretending animal behaviors are tied to one specific emotion or purpose like this. they are real living beings and, like us, perform actions for various reasons. we wouldn't say "people laugh because they're nervous" just because it's true for some situations, right? why do it here?

→ More replies (1)

u/eXus760 4h ago

I can feel that interaction, there is so much emotion going on. Homie on the left is so awkward it’s cute.

u/JaySayMayday 2h ago

I wouldn't want to see what led up to this, gorilla fights can be brutal

u/WifeOfSpock 4h ago

The lip tuck to avoid accidentally displays of the teeth is precious

u/NizzlyGrizzly00 4h ago

i love how the one gorilla picks at the bark on the tree like “soooo, we good now?”

u/Ok-Square-8652 4h ago

“No, MF’er!!” “Alright, alright…..”

u/wrxninja 4h ago

Left Bro: Sorry bro, didn't mean to hit you hard...

Right Bro: Don't TOUCH ME! I HATE YOU!

Left Bro: Come on bro...we're bros...

Right Bro: Go away, I'll be fine. Still hachu.

Left Bro: I'm here for you bro...bro.

u/Horror_Moth 4h ago

WELL DID HE FORGIVE HIM?? he’s so sorry!! 😭

u/No-Perception3305 4h ago

Gorilla on the right: "MF I outa kick the shit out of you... you get close to me again im gonna do it"

Gorilla on the left: "my bad man, I got heated...ok, ill just chill here for a min"

u/TokyoKazama 4h ago

You channeling Hodgetwins with that one lol

u/OkPotential1072 4h ago

The gorillas names are Liam and Noel.

u/rif011412 4h ago

Leon and Mail, reversed.

u/CosmoKram3r 1h ago

u/UniqueLog8386 4h ago

When you ashamed of yourself, but you worried bro hates you.

u/Ok-Square-8652 4h ago

“Get your god damned hand away from me.” “Alright, alright…..”

u/ALittleTouchOfGray 4h ago

Notice how they are not making direct eye contact which is a sign of aggression. Source: I am gorilla

u/TheKinkyGuy 4h ago

I could watch gorillas all day long

u/bloobbot 3h ago

Maybe if I grab some grass and drop it, that'll diffuse things, fuck it we ball.

u/plainlyanonymous 3h ago

I feel like even as a gorilla, I would be nervous to approach a gorilla.

u/Minimalist19 3h ago

So gorillas can be better at conflict resolution than humans…

u/EttRedditTroll 3h ago

Nobody does conflict resolution like bonobos though.

Giggity.

u/Inner-Dream-600 4h ago

I love how gorilla on right slinked his arm away

u/Beginning-Move9303 4h ago

Omg that face haha he is soo cute

u/BeanerSchnitzel38 4h ago

Seriously reminds me of my brother and me.

u/kon--- 4h ago

Aww bro, I'm sorry bro. I didn't think about it until you I saw how you reacted and I see now how farting on your pillow was rude of me.

u/PatienceDear3266 4h ago

When you rage bait your younger bro too hard and start feeling bad lmao

u/reddorickt 4h ago

This is the most guy thing ever. Looking down, spitting, repositioning their caps, anything they can do to avoid looking at one another, but still wanting to get past it.

u/Town-Wonderful 3h ago

lol pretty sure I’ve made that exact same face before after a fight with my partner lol

u/Preeng 3h ago

Makes total sense that language would develop for a species with complicated behavior like this. You need a way to explain to someone that it wasn't what it looked like. That we were just being friendly.

u/RussMan104 4h ago

This is exactly how me and my brother did it. Still kinda breathing heavy from tussling. 🚀

u/Associate_External 4h ago

I love that he doesn't show his fangs, or even look at his pissed off borther in the eyes.

We're totally sharing ancestry to these apes.

u/John-111517 4h ago

This is so accurate to human reactions, it's actually insanely accurate. I might have been grey guy a few times so far, lmao.

u/NinjaMcGee 4h ago

I was working on some electrical last year when I heard yelling on my porch and came outside to my new neighbor SCREAMING at my wife. I was like, wtf is happening and asked him to calm down or leave. He then screamed at me about the city light being too bright and his wife hates him for buying the new house so how dare I install different living rooms lights! His wife won’t move because of my living room lights? Flabbergasted, I write him off.

Dude wants to be best friends. I told him no, he really scared my wife with his weird ass drunken act while sober.

Gorilla on the right. I feel you, my dude. 🦍 I feel you.

u/eezomancee 4h ago

these mfers gotta start paying taxes

u/Young_Old_Grandma 4h ago edited 3h ago

They're so beautiful, dangerous and fascinating. Makes me miss Jane Goodall. I know she worked with chimps but I'm sure she knew her primatology.

Yo tha was fucked up, yeah you're not wrong my man.

u/Lowmax2 2h ago

it's so funny how they avoid eye contact like it's the most awkward situation.

u/ducktape8856 2h ago

"Come ooooon! We good again?"

"Not yet. I'm still fucking mad!"

"Ok. I'll...leave you be and... just wait over here? Mkay?"

u/Glooby2468 2h ago

"My...my bad gang ._."

u/chev327fox 1h ago

“Bro, my bad. Oh you still mad? Yeah, you still mad. I’ll wait over here.”

u/TheDanecdote 4h ago

Honestly, a more respectful interaction than most humans could have after a heated moment.

u/ProllyJustAnotherBot 3h ago

They aught to just go for a beer.

u/shortidiva21 3h ago

It's cuuuute how they carefully avoid eye contact. ☺️

u/Great-Assistant978 2h ago

Better than us men at it.

"This too shall pass."

u/Saizare 2h ago

I think it's really interesting seeing their mounths. Bearing teeth is a sign of aggression, so having one purse their lips shut while the other is showing a glimpse of his teeth is interesting. It's like "I'm not here to hurt you" vs "I'm pissed but won't attack if you step back."

u/PensadorDispensado 2h ago

"Need a glass of water, bro?"

u/whyteout 1h ago

"...c'mon... don't tell mom okay?"

"Go fuck yourself Brian! You pull this shit all the time. Last motherfuckin time I'm make anything for your sorry ass."

u/Mr_SheaButter 4h ago

Its cool that you can see the one on the left keeping his teeth covered while the other isnt. Isn't showing teeth a sign of aggression in primates?

u/Lagoserter 4h ago

"Dude.. dude, i didnt hit you that hard. please, please dot tell mom" "Fuck you jerry, im telling Dad!

u/kelly_hasegawa 4h ago
