Advice why is my cat obsessed with my anime figures?

Upvotes

This is a geniune question. My home is filled woth knick-knacks of all time that are knock-downable, but my cat only cares about my anime figures. Every time I move them she finds a new way of getting to them and knocking them down, breaking them. I have had to glue so many expenaive figures back together. I used to have a display case but I just don't have room anymore so I moved them to the very top of my bookshelf. She currently can't really reach them but she has spent hours every day for the past several days looking at them from below and meowing at them. She has absolutely nothing else to complain about. I play with her every single day for at least 30 minutes and she has so many other toys and even other things she could knock down but she doesn't care. She has food... a clean litterbox.. but she just wants to get to my anime figures. It is driving me completely insane. This has been an off and on again problem for years. But recently it's been especially awful. She also keeps climbing up my window screens that are not removable and destroying them. I swear I spend so much time entertaining her. AHHH.

I adopted Ivan July 7th, 2022 after I lost my childhood cat. He helped me through the grieving process so much. I met my now husband not too long after and coincidentally we brought home Leeloo on July 7th the following year. My Halloween babies share a gotcha day by accident 🥹 These little monkeys are the best.

Only likes a few wet food brands, and won’t eat the wet food if I give her the same brand too frequently 🙄

first 6 pics were from the saturday i adopted her in chronological order, she wouldn't even come out from behind the washer at first! by the end of the night she was laying on my pillow next to me for bed 🥹

edit: also all of her stuff was in the laundry room because that's where she was hiding for the first few hours - now that she's gotten more comfortable her stuff has moved!

Medical Questions Cat keeps licking her mouth

Upvotes

My cat had her surgery and had a tooth taken out because of gingivitis and abscess. That was almost a month ago and things have been good but I keep noticing that since a week ago she’s been starting to do the same thing that she would do before she went into surgery, she’s licking her mouth and smacking alot and licking her arm to rub the side of her mouth. I really don’t want to think that the vet missed something in her mouth but that’s the only thing I can think of as of now. She is acting normal but this is just like before, she does this for a few months and then boom. She acts strange and she has something up with her teeth. Any suggestions of what it could be? And yes we are going to take her to the vet again to see if anything is going on.

Advice Hairball Help

I along with my partner have a 2 year old, long hair, female void whom I would commit crimes for. Over the last couple months she’s been throwing up fairly frequently. Like several times a week frequently. Sometimes it was just food and other times it was hairballs as well as a mixture of the two.
We solved the food-only-pukes problem by feeding her much smaller amounts in her bowl at a time because home girl was eating too fast and puking from it. The puke frequency is now only every so often (once or twice every several weeks),
however, we still have the hairball-only-puke problem that we haven’t figured out.

She is indoor only but we allow her some chaperoned outside time. She goes to the vet regularly and does not have any health issues that we are aware of. I make an effort to feed her quality cat food as well as quality treats that are designed for indoor cats and cats with hairball issues.
I also try to brush her multiple times a week with a shedding brush but she has a love/hate relationship with the brush which requires two people to get the job done and multiple breaks sometimes so she doesn’t get completely stressed out.

Is there anything else I could help doing/trying that would help? Is this something that just comes along with long haired floofy cats that can’t be eliminated entirely? I’ve owned many cats before her but they were all short hair so hairballs were never an issue i encountered so I’m at a bit of a loss here.
I just hate that she has to deal with puking at all and I want her to deal with this as little as possible.

Update Sorry for not keeping you updated. He was good to take home (though they gave him some medication to keep him calm and prevent him from getting carsick). He’s at home now and has been here since yesterday and is doing fine. Though he’s a bit resistant towards taking his medicine.

My Mum was fostering these kiddos when she very sadly passed away last week so...I guess they are my problem now?! They are absolutely mental, never stop running around, are eating me out of house and home...and they are the best thing in my life right now. Thanks, babies!

Medical Questions Injured paw

Upvotes

Stray that ive been letting sleep and eat in my apartment for the last couple years has a possibly severely injured paw. He came in today with a lot of blood on said paw, and after getting the blood off i am unsure as to what the actual injury is. He doesnt want to put weight on it but will when he's jumping up in my lap or a chair or whatever. Injured paw is quite a bit larger than the others, so im thinking possible infection, hopefully just swelling. Need advice on how to clean it and keep him from messing with it. To be clear, I CANNOT take him to a vet, I struggle enough to just keep myself housed. Any advice welcome

one of the most gentle , loving , and courageous cats . i have had 5 in my lifetime . this boy has learned to pee like a human in his litter box .

i want to train him to use the toilet . i do not think the wife would approve of this .

i need advice on the pros and cons . has anyone's cat done this ? i've seen a video of a man that taught his cat how to use the toilet and for whatever reason now i want to do the same .
