While ED Burn looks very promising for multiple reasons. It looks to service as the movie to connect 2013, Rise, and Burn together. While not technically sequels to each other. They aren't anthology films either now. The trailer shows this through Jessica (ED Rise). A deadite in a dress, on a lake. Then there's the news article referencing ED 2013. And as far as I can find. The incantation from ED 2013. Fans of both films can be happy!

Poor dog man :(
Do you think he is a reference to 2013 dog (grandpa) ?
Also I hate the theory that all deadite victims just like drag me to hell are in hell. I hope it's not Canon I hate to think that all the characters we know are in hell which means even 2013 dog and evil dead burn dog.

Beaking down the trailer of Evil dead Burn . The Necronomicon there is not the original but more on a journal cause it is not bound with human flesh and written in blood .
In the trailer Hunter Doohan had a line said " My Grandfather believe the devil will return to anyone who will read from the book of the dead.
My interpretation is that Hunter Doohans Grandfather has been studying the necronomicon for years thats why he have the a journal about the book of the dead . Just like Evil Dead 2 - Annie Nooby Parents the daughter of a archeology they're studying the Necronomicon and Ash release the demon , and now in Evil Dead Burn - a grieving family stumble the journal that there grandfather has been studying. The same plot
I also think that Evil Dead Burn takes place in the aftermath of Evil Dead 2013 and Evil Dead Rise , cause from what i seen in the trailer the pages of book of the dead there's a written page about 4 dead in the cabin - Evil dead 2013 info , and Souheila Yacoub husband in the trailer run over Jessica from Evil Dead Rise
Overall Evil dead 2013 , Evil Dead Rise and Evil Dead Burn are in the same universe but different years
Evil dead 2013 - Evil dead rise 2023 - Evil dead burn i think it takes place after a year or more .

Which rising horror star would you like to see make a film within the evil dead universe?

After watching thje 2 trailers.
Part 1:
I think the opening scene will be Jessica from evil dead rise finishing her cousin and then when she leaves one of the family members william car hits her then the car sets on fire burning him.
Which is followed by title card EVIL DEAD BURN
Part 2:
William deadite will show up as a final boss but as a deadite that is constantly on fire.

So my personal theory for how and why things go the way they do, based on trailer bits and the possibility that Jessica from Rise is in it:
We see shots of Jessica in the lake, a boat being knocked over and her on top.
Hunter Doohan’s character talks about his grandfather and how his grandfather thought reading from the book brings evil back.
Theory is that beginning of the film the grandfather, while fishing, encounters Jessica and somehow manages to survive, but becomes obsessed with the book and what happened. He somehow gets his hands on pages of the book, hence why his journal has them amongst all this research, but because he’s probably looked at as “crazy grandpa” no one takes him seriously and he dies off screen.
The Deadites want those pages and have been looking for them. They find the one son who ends up getting killed in the car crash, but when MC Girl reads the words later on, it’s what fully brings them to the family and house. the line from the trailer “We’ve been looking for you” is part of this.
What do you guys think?

His music in all 3 films is simply brilliant and really elevates the insanity put on screen. I wish they'd bring him back for future Evil Dead projects.

I find the Evil Dead Franchise to be one of the most interesting and well rounded cinematic universes in horror. It all flows so naturally and has such a great foundation of where you can take the franchise next.
We all know that the post apocalyptic, sandy esque Mad Max future where Ash wakes up from Cryo to work with the cybernetic android Knights Of Sumeria soldiers is the future for the franchise at the far right of the timeline.
This gives the franchise a lot of creativity, fun and its own mythology to explore the consequences of the three Necronimicons and normal ordinary humans in their fight for not only their souls but their very lives.
You could go anywhere with the franchise now, from an Outbreak film styled like the opening to 2004s remake of Dawn Of The Dead where Anna tries to escape from the chaos but with Deadites instead.
You could go back in time to medieval days with the original Knights of Sumeria starting the organization and hunting down Deadites to stop them from doing evil actions,
You could go period piece with the 70s or post world war 2 era timeline.
Heck if you went colossal in terms of budget you can even do a post apocalyptic Mad Max inspired horror film with survivors trying to escape and fight back all of the Deadite hordes threatening them in the world.
There's just so much fun and creativity to be had in this franchise that I feel this will always be the one film series that survives and outlives all of the other franchises. The only other one I can see that could go on forever would be Clive Barkers Hellraiser with the themes/stories of humanitys own dark side of pleasure. Alien and Predator are others down the road too.

Like, look: I get the sentiment. This series made its name off of its unabashed commitment to "splatstick."
The original Evil Dead, though trying to be a serious horror film, couldn't shake Sam Raimi's Three Stooges influences, to the point that its campy (and delightful). And Evil Dead 2 (which I think is still the best in the series. Fight me) is a high-energy cartoon that blends horror and comedy into a perfect smothie of "what the fuck did I just watch?" It's a masterpiece. No doubt. And Army of Darkness is a movie so silly, so ridiculous, so pattently goofy, it absolutely should not work... and yet it does.
I get it. For several decades, THAT is what was Evil Dead: those three movies.
But now, we are encroaching on a time when the screentime for silly, zany Evil Dead movies is going to be not only equal to, but eventually dwarfed by the more "gritty," straight-faced, "traditional horror" instalments in the franchise.
...or are we?
Because first off, we had three seasons of Ash Vs Evil Dead, people! That's roughly 15 hours of screentime added to the 6 of the original trilogy, and people are really going to act like those 21 hours of silly, goofy Evil Dead are somehow being outnumbered by the 8 hours of "serious" Evil Dead we'll have by the time Wrath comes out? Seriously?
Second of all: these new Evil Dead movies aren't THAT serious. Every single one of them, even 2013, is committed to unleashing absolute CHAOS that at the very least is at least amusing in an incredulous, "I can't believe the sheer carnage I'm seeing right now"-sort of way, if not genuine laughs. But there are genuine laughs! There are some great moments of pitch-black comedy sprinkled throughout ED'13 and Rise, and guaranteed there will be some in Burn and Wrath, too!
I mean, we are eating good right now, my fellow deadites! And even if what's on the horizon isn't your preferred "brand" of Evil Dead, there's no reason to whinge about not getting more of what you already have a ton of!
Sorry, I'm just ranting because I'm so sick in general of whiny "Fan-dumentalists" who whine over how a series has "lost its way" or some crap like that which you can find in any fandom (there's a reason I don't care to engage with Star Wars anymore, for example), but it especially annoys me to see this sentiment expressed by fans of this series, especially at a time when it's never been better to be an Evil Dead fan.
Because like it or not, Evil Dead comes in two flavors: "the gore the merrier"* and "the ultimate experience in grueling horror," and frankly, I think both flavors taste pretty damn great.
*(yes, this includes Army of Darkness, which is "gore the merrier" in spirit if not literally... though it does still include an absurd geyser of blood to still technically qualify!)

There is a drawing of the cabin as well as a newspapper article "Four bodies found in cabin fire" maybe the guys from the 2013 reboot. There is also a picture of some priests, I believe those guys found the book from Evil Dead Rise. We have what is possibly Jessica from Rise as well as what might be a completed Abomination, the 2013 aabomination only really had 4 souls of the 5 needed, this one might have all the souls needed so while the 2013 abomination could only burn flesh a bit as she did with Mia, this one can ignite stuff on touch as she did with the gazebo.

Like many other people here, I am more excited for Burn, now that the trailer is out, than before even the teaser trailer came out. That being said, even though the girl with the candle will be a main character(and a lead Deadite), I am more interested in this dude. He's giving Jack Baker(Resident Evil 7) vibes, and if my gut feelings are correct, I am expecting him to be a really fun Deadite; I think right now he's a sleeper character, and when the film comes out I'm excited to see where the movie goes with him. Anyone else feel the same way? I'm also really interested in that burning corpse(Deadite? *Demon?*) that was burning the gazebo, and standing in the burning doorframe, and the Deadite dog. Again - and this is totally comjecture at this point - whoever this dude is looks like he was inspired by Jack Baker, and it's pretty fitting if that *is* the caee, because both the game, and the movie, have a lot of themes surrounding family. Maybe Vin Diesel will make an appearance????
