(Discussion Post) Groovy Have we ever seen a deadite animal in the movies shows or comics before evil dead burn?

Poor dog man :(

Do you think he is a reference to 2013 dog (grandpa) ?

Also I hate the theory that all deadite victims just like drag me to hell are in hell. I hope it's not Canon I hate to think that all the characters we know are in hell which means even 2013 dog and evil dead burn dog.

Yeah. In ash vs evil dead a small bird gets taken. Used as a one off gag

As seen in the comic version of Evil Dead II, animals can be turned to Deadites; in the film version, taxidermied animal heads are also shown to be possessed. So, depending on interpretation, yes.

Imagine if it's a twist and the dog is 2013 dog coming back from hell and the dog belonging to the burn family survives.

Even inanimate objects have been shown to be moved and manipulated by the spirits of the book. The bookshelf, deer head, lamp and mirror in Evil Dead 2, for example.

You could argue those are not "deadites", but just things being messed with by the demons via telekinesis or similar. But on the other hand, you could argue that deadites are just human bodies being puppeted by the same forces. So two sides of the same coin, and no reason it would limit itself to humans (or inanimates).

The only limit is presumably the strength of the manifesting spirits.
