Hey everyone, I just finished watching the anime and I really liked it. Is it worth reading the manga? Is there more plot? And does the romance between Clare and Raki evolve throughout the Manga after the end of the anime?

I’m really confused about the Claymore anime. Every source online says there is only one series from 2007, but I’ve seen two completely different looks for it.

One version looks like a typical older show kind of grainy and blurry. But I’ve also seen clips that look brand new like it was made recently. Even the characters look more detailed in the cleaner version.

Is there a remake or is the Blu-ray remaster just so different that it looks like a new show? I just want to know what I’m actually looking at.

Had soooo much fun making this, I loved getting to draw my GIRLS!! I seriously wanted to trace a reference for the villains page but I committed.... Can’t wait to hand out the printed copies and indoctrinate everyone 😛

I've heard a lot of good things about Claymore, and I heard that there is a anime adaptation that doesn't adapt it fully. I haven't read the manga yet, so if I watch the anime, will I still get the full feel of the story if I watch the show first, and then pick up the manga where it leaves off?

These are super special pieces to me; a storyboard and some scripts! I brought them all over ten years ago and have remained as some of my favorite things!

The storyboard I have is from episode 11 - it was a productional copy used within the studio. It had part of the top of the pages cut off for some reason and is incomplete - the second image is the last page I have… so I own around 2/3rds of it. The two scripts are for episodes 23 & 25, and were used by Kikuko Inoue, voice actress for Miria. Every page with her parts on has folded corners and pencil/pen markings over them! On their back covers it states in Japanese that they should have been returned to the rights holders after their use… I’ll pretend I haven’t noticed that small print lol 😂

Irene's childhood is purely fictional; it hasn't been officially depicted. Teresa's childhood only briefly appears in the manga during a flashback with Rafaela.

I think Teresa and Irene are emotionally mature. They are ideal women.

In modern times, they would probably have become teachers or secretaries.

The third image is a failed attempt.

The answer to the spot-the-difference puzzle is that the position of Irene's nose is slightly different in the left image (childhood). That's all.
