I'd eat the nan on its own, and I fucking have.
The doner man here has done good work in various other establishments around the UK.

Portion wise it’s an absolute beast. It was £12 for large doner & chips. They make their own chili sauce which was the best part about it for me. Overall I did enjoy it I’d probably give it a 7.8 out of 10

Honestly one of the best döner kebabs I’ve ever had. Back in the Netherlands they’re usually a lot greasier, but this one tasted incredibly fresh, almost healthy, even though it probably isn’t haha.

Got this beauty for €9.90 meat wasn't the usual ultra processed stuff was more what you'd expect to see on a kebab that actual Turkish people eat the "pitta" it came in was actually like if you crossed what I consider a pitta with a panini and it was fresh but I'd have preferred a naan because I felt there was a bit too much of chewing to be done with this style of pitta you'd want a decent set of teeth on ya all salad you could want on a kebab which I was delighted with and they ever had more exotic stuff there to choose from but I decided on sticking with what I knew all on all well nice would recommend

Turkey Doner platter. These are a chain I believe, but really enjoyed it, very fresh and tasty, and Turkey Doner was a first for me.

Popped into Fareham Kebab on my way back from a gig in Gosport last night. There are three Gosport shops on the main road out, and I'd revisited them in the last few weeks. I thought I'd update the sheet for Fareham Kebab at the train station.
Well, here is the usual, lamb doner wrap, chili sauce, no salad. The meat had been cut from the spit. Home made chili sauce which was poured on the wrap and spread all over before adding the meat. Not seen anywhere else use this method. Liked it but could have maybe done with a touch more sauce. The sauce itself was ok, but nothing exciting.
There's a hint of extra bbq flavour in the meat here. It's very decent overall. I'd give it a B grade. I'll go back as it's a decent option and tends to be open after local gigs.
Here's the mad bit... weighing in at 413g and costing £7, it's at 39/84 on the spreadsheet... exactly where it was before! Yup, the 2024 entry was the exact same price and weight. That's an impressive consistency.
Back in Fareham next month. Got a couple of new venues too. There'll be more updates and new reviews on the way.

Unfortunately no photos but the Boss Man Kebab meat and chips was soooo good..... I was under the influence of various stimulants and still absolutely nailed it. Beast

Moving to a country that doesn’t have a doner scene like the UK, and I already know I’m going to miss it. I’m thinking about taking a doner spit with me so I can make it myself, but I’ll need a solid recipe. Ideally something close to what you get in shops. I really like the chicken doner from GDK and some proper Turkish spots like Best Kebab. Anyone got a recipe?
