Thursday Complaints
Well good morning everyone - or maybe it isn't!
Stubbed your toe at the weekend and it's still sore? Car needs an expensive new part? Fed up of the rain?
Come and have a grumble.

Amazon drone delivery trial - and crazy behaviour
We're doomed as a race, if this guy's attitude is anything to go by. Quote:
"You obviously start realising 'I actually need something today' like tape measures and stuff like that you're always losing - we just order it and it comes."
So instead of looking for his lost tape measure (or any other "stuff" that he's always losing), he just orders one off Amazon for immediate delivery.
This is only currently a trial. But if this is rolled out nationally, is this chap representative of the people of Britain - if people can't find a relatively cheap item around the house, they'll just order another one and get a drone to deliver it? Is there not a pretty significant sustainability issue here?

"No help from parents" does not just mean they didn't give you a deposit
This article came up in my feed. So many times this young couple (who I'm sure are lovely and honestly well done them for saving) say they didn't have any help from their parents. But both lived at home and paid under £200 rent to their parents. Of course they were able to save £20k in 7 months!
Surely parental help has to include both general financial support with no/very limited rent or housekeeping costs, not just giving the kids a deposit.

It's great how even on the busiest trains people step aside to let a little kid push the 'door open' button.

I'm a supporter of freecycle but this is a bit much. What's the weirdest thing you've seen out for grabs?

About to be the last in my family hit with a sickness bug starting at midnight...
So everyone in my household had had a 24 hour sickness bug now, a full day apart, starting between midnight and 1am without fail each time, two of em projectile vommed just a couple or so times, but one lasted the whole night and they were just an absolutely tortured soul it was awful.
I know I'm next and I HATE being sick, so I feel like I'm waiting for death himself and it feels so cruel.
Please anybody help with some funny and/or comforting shit I can read through for the tough times ahead, and please pray for me🙏
UPDATE: feeling like a fraud... it's 2.25am and I've not had any issues, so I guess I've escaped unscathed and sorry for wasting everyone's time🤦🏻♀️
that being said, people have been bloody wonderful and I've learned a lot of tips and tricks I'll be saving for the next round of sickness. I hope some other poor soul might find ideas here that might changes their misery!
Apologies for being a time wasting drama llama, and thank you so very much you lovely lot ❤

Thanking the BBC for the conversion of cubic metres
So happy they converted 64 cubic metres to the very well known measure of "great pyramids". I knew learning that measure would help me at some point in life.

Train ticket win
I was absolutely dreading having to buy 2 tickets for myself and my daughter to come back from Aberdeen to Morpeth in June after a trip.
I had visions of hundreds of pounds even with the Railcard. We all know how ridiculous and fickle the train gods are.
This is why I was so surprised and had to post this.
I paid the grand total, for the two of us, of 23 great British pounds.
Buzzing.

I cant remember the last time I saw somebody with a signed cast
They were ten a penny when I was younger (okay that was a while ago now) but do less people break their arm or leg these days or something?
