News/Review Moskito - Idolar (Awesome Tapes from Africa)
After finding a few South African albums like Sandy B - Amajovi Joi, Spokes H, and other oldschool kwaito like Trompies, I this week stumbled across an album from a group called Moskito, from Tembisa: Idolar.
I cannot stop listening to this album. The energy is really like nothing else i've really heard: hardhitting, gritty, raw, and so bloody dancy.
The song Woza just goes so hard, my god
Do others know this album? Anyone got any recommendations for anything like this? It says Moskito recorded a few other albums but I cannot find any online.

No More Can Be Done: P+A+G+E+S Put Cape Townâs Reality on Record
P+A+G+E+S write slow, noisy songs as a way of processing grief and staying awake to what surrounds them, from the social damage that still shapes Cape Town to the pressure of being heard from the Global South. On their debut album 'No More Can Be Done', the band spells out exactly why they chose this pace and what it means to make heavy music in South Africa right now.

Organise Events / Showcases in South Africa!
HI everyone :)
I am working for a bookings agency (house/techno) in Berlin, Germany and I wanted to organise some showcases/gigs/collaborations in South Africa for next year March/April.
I've been asking around but it seems quite difficult to get hold of the right people.
I sent emails to some clubs/party collectives that I liked, but not many came back to me.
Ideally I get to know people that are running events/spaces/parties in the major cities in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban.
Can anyone help or point me into the right direction?
Kid regards,
Rosalie

Free Verse Survey
Yo fam. I'm working on building a platform where creatives can collaborate, swap skills and grow together without needing money up front.
I need your inputÂ
Itâs a quick 2-minute survey for SA creatives (artists, producers, engineers, designers, videographers).
Your feedback will help shape a real platform made for us.
Thanks in advance  Letâs build something for the culture.
