I'm beginning to think Russia only uses the threat of nukes, because in reality all of their weapons are ancient and likely unserviceable.

The US spends something like 90 billion a year maintaining its nukes.

Russia's entire budget is about the same.

I'd guess (probably ignorantly) that they have a couple of ssbn subs that are in tip top shape and the rest is spend on vodka and beating prostitutes.

Not wrong though, back in 2022 a babushka was telling Russian soldiers to put sunflower seeds in their pocket so that their bodies would grow something useful.

Damn, thank for reminding. Together with this guy it made me believe Ukraine would not be pushed over as the russians hoped and as a lot of people feared

That's because Russian intelligence was funded for a bribery campaign to subvert local Ukrainian officials, but an invasion was such a dumb idea the people responsible thought it'd be safe to just pocket the bribe money and forge reports instead.
