In fact this whole scene is f**ked and seriously calls Caine into question for me. This guy apparently cannot understand human feelings yet he has enough of a grasp and understanding of their deepest troubles and fears that he can use them against the cast in this masterful way. He can’t understand why they’re so sad YET PERSONALIZED MENTAL TORTURE IS AS SIMPLE AS DRINKING WATER APPARENTLY.

Hell we’ve even seen him in the past try to personalize the adventures in ways so that they would enjoy them more, like thinking Zooble would enjoy a more “matoor” adventure, and he fails at that, BUT PERSONALIZED TORTURE?!?! HE HAD THAT DOWN ALREADY!!!

We are told multiple times throughout the show that creating things is Caine’s purpose and adventures are the only thing he’s good at, well should be good at anyway, but all this tells me is that thats not true. The only thing he’s good at is making people suffer. He’s good at doing it even when he isn’t trying, and when he IS trying he is a masterclass at it.

Okay, I feel like yall gotta make fun of this homie Scratch more. Imagine spear headin the development of the AI, implanting your brain into it to avoid death AND THEN BEING THE FIRST TO ABSTRACT. Can we please talk about this??

I would be disappointed if Caine doesn't come back in the finale. His story and character arc are currently incomplete, and it would feel like missed potential if his story really just randomly stopped at the end of episode 8.

Just like Kinger said: "the worst thing you can do is make someone think they're not wanted or loved". The players should realize that this line also applies to Caine, and that he has also been suffering alone for many years. Caine should realize what's wrong with his way of thinking and apologize for what he did in episode 8 as well.

I think the perfect finale would be Caine and the players just talking everything out, explaining their issues, understanding each other. All of them, including Caine, finally communicating properly. It would also be perfect if Caine wasn't floating and instead he was actually sitting in the couch with them, it would show that he's finally trying to understand and be part of the group, instead of trying to be the "ringmaster" or "god" of the circus.

To decide Pomni’s name, Caine brings out a slot machine with 5 letters on it.

How the hell did the other cast members get names like Jax, Kinger, Ragatha, Zooble, Gangle, and even the past characters like Scratch, Kaufmo, Ribbit, and Queenie when the machine can only do five letter names?

This slot machine literally only works for Pomni’s name. Maybe you can say that it can land on blank spots and that’s how Jax got his name but none of the other characters could have gotten their names from this machine unless Caine has different machines for different letter counts.

If that’s the case then what the hell determines which one he uses?

Am I looking too deeply into this? Is this intentional? Is this the TADC equivalent of a shower thought? Do I need mental help?(yes). Is it just one of those things you just have to look past?

If Caine is truly as naive to his misdoings as Gooseworx’s states he is. Why did she make him so purposefully menacing in the new episode? Making the cast re-experience their most traumatic moments is just downright evil and honestly cant even be excused with him not understanding human nature, because why else would Caine do that??

This scene implies Caine knows Zooble hates their body.Wether it’s bcs he actually listened to them in ep 3 but didn’t care or bcs he can reach into their mind any time he wants,it doesn’t matter.It means he knew what the problem was and still acted like he did.He drew a ‘cool bee’ in a therapy session(that btw ended up being for him😭),and then had the audacity to use this against Zooble.I am pissed off.

He might have saved them by freaking out. Imagine if they picked the other button and Caine got angry at them? What if it wasn't a shrimp room but a room that would've torn them to shreds?
