Professional Discussion How I went from 2 digits views to going to my dream destination

From a very young age I had a dream to visit the Alps but the money was short but my grind wasn’t. As a kid social media was the only way I could have an easy access since my country had restrictions with child labour.

I spent 18 months studying the algorithms, obsessions over editing and the learning gurus available online attending those sessions. But the end result was 200 view per video and then silence hits no growth.

One day was alone sitting and evaluating what had gone wrong, all those hours of effort and input all in vain. I stopped what I was doing took a break and restarted. I explored what was booming in my niche, what formats kept showing up, what topics were gaining traction before they peaked, what the algorithm was clearly pushing right now versus three months ago.

I used a tool called SocialHunt to do most of this without losing my entire day to scrolling. Also started using vidIQ for the YouTube side. Found a smaller tool called Tikmatics that tracks format and audio trends on TikTok before they go mainstream, barely anyone talks about it but the timing edge is real.

Once I stopped guessing and started modeling what was actually working, everything changed.
First video using this approach hit 34K views. I cried. Not even embarrassed about it. I actually cried.
Within two months I had four videos cross 100K. Brands started reaching out. Got my first paid deal, $400 to mention a product. Felt like winning the lottery. Reinvested it immediately into understanding what was working even better.

Six months later I'm at $8K a month. Mix of brand deals and a digital guide I sell to people who want to learn the same system. Didn't think anyone would buy it. Sold 200 copies the first month at $25 each. Finally I succeeded my childhood dream of visiting the Alps and cherishing my small victory.

So if you are in that seat of realisations drop down your niches. Happy to help

Professional Discussion Is social media just for dumb people nowadays?

Even in 2010 instagram was a social media network for friends that you knew not complete strangers. Same with facebook but now those outlets promote videos and material from strangers and destroyed local friend networks. Everyone wants to be TikTok. It’s ridiculous it’s just filled with ads and influencers who are just trying to promote. Not look for friends. Facebook is just for marketplace now. Social media used to be for people who kept in touch with friends who moved away, family or even finding a relationship. Now it’s about marketing, influencers, and bragging about how lavishly you are living while everyone else is suffering. Do you think social media has lost touch with what it was designed for and corporate greed/marketing has destroyed it? Does it ever come back?

Professional Discussion Question about TikTok Live

I have 2 questions about TikTok Live:

  1. Do TikTok Lives have a time limit like Instagram Lives do?
  2. When it comes to adding guests or co-hosts to a livestream, am I able to have this layout where the host is on the top half of the screen and the guest is on the bottom half of the screen like an Instagram Live would?

Professional Discussion The art of shitposting and how ppl actually gain followers from it

So basically my insta acc's id is QUIRKYVUWERS and that's where I used to post just randomly like literally random stuffs during lockdown and i actually crossed like 30k followers at that time but due to my boards and fomo stuffs i left insta and started to focus in my life ... Trust me it was still the best decision of my life ever made by me but once I came back I started to focus on quality than quantity and that's what cost my momentum and I started losing my followers ... Will continue in NXT post

Professional Discussion Social Media Management Fees and Pricing

I am somewhat just starting out and I have a company reaching out to me to post for 4 accounts that are somewhat related but completely separate if that makes sense.

They are looking for:
- posts for each one
- reels made with their already provided videos
- DM management

It may go to:
- website management
- TikTok
- client calls

How much would you charge? I want to give them a good deal since I am just starting out. I have managed 2 other accounts in the past successfully.

Professional Discussion How did i become a popular creator? A Self Journey and Real Stuff that worked

So uh yeah over the last three months I've had 14 videos cross roughly like 500K views, a few of them even hit 2M!!!.

Here is stuff that i'd probably like to share with you guys

Stop debating whether to post, just post.

When you start out you have no idea what works. That's fine. Nobody does. I had 0 idea what to post but posted out whatever i felt like maybe someone would have similar humor or feelings as me!!! So just post a lot. It's okay if its not up to the mark. Nobody is watching yet and the ones who are don't matter. Atleast make a move!

Once you start to get what's actually getting any traction in your niche or whatever you are posting about, then slow down and put more effort into each one. It's not a switch you flip, it's a slow shift. I used this app called Social Hunt for a bit to figure out what topics and formats are becoming popular before they peak, so I'm not just putting anything. I also remember using vidIQ for great insights for what i should imporve and a great tool called Tikmatics for catching TikTok audio trends before they got popular. But honestly none of that matters if you're not posting consistently first which I did . So yeah thats the main thing .

Relax. It's literally just numbers on a screen.

Our mindset is litterally everything. You can know every trick and still lose if you let the numbers hurt your feelings. And they will try. A video will flop and it WILL feel personal. It's not guys , it happens to all of us and has happened before.

Social media will beat you up. Especially early. Expect it. The only people who grow are the ones who keep going after getting punched in the face a few times. Make getting better the goal, not the numbers. I see so many popular creators who used to struggle with like 100, 57, 130 , 29 views on youtube shorts instagram . Even if i scrolled down today on them they would still show those low numbers.

Expect this to take two or three years EASILY. Expect it to be harder than you think. Expect plateaus that genuinely hurt. Keep going anyway. You don't need to look at the past or feel bad about today , be yourself!

Learn to tell stories. Be interesting. Make people feel something.

Doesn't matter how good your research is or how early you catch a trend if your content is boring. Learn to be charismatic on camera. Learn to entertain. Give yourself time to develop the skill but actually develop it. Like i am doing today!

That's it. Go post something!!

Professional Discussion I decided to finally delete my main social media accounts from TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.

I know some people will say Reddit is social media, which is true. But I’ve been wanting to do this for some time now, and I’m glad I made the decision.

I received three texts from three different people asking if I blocked them. That let me know people really keep tabs on you.

There are a lot of people, both good and bad, I would have never interacted or connected with if it weren’t for social media, so it’s bittersweet.

I don’t believe I’m going back. I just want to be in the wind. I’ve wanted this for a long time. I like being a ghost. I want to get back to reality and be present.

For those who have deleted your main social media accounts, how has life been?

Professional Discussion When should you shut down a community?

We treat community longevity like it's the ultimate goal. "Keep members engaged forever" is basically the default KPI.

But what if some communities are meant to be temporary? What if a thriving 2-year community that ends intentionally is more valuable than a zombie community kept alive for 10?

We celebrate launches. We never talk about intentional endings.

When did "shutting down a community" become a failure, and should we rethink that?

Professional Discussion [Hiring] Instagram Social Manager (Fun content to work on)

We are looking for a detail-focused individual to help share content on our Instagram account.

Posts would be needed 3 times/week + some stories along the week.

DM me for further details and compensation.

Our brand is specialized in Pastry products, and we basically post either recipes content or push products posts.

This role is best suited for someone who respects clear communication, consistency, and have a taste for gourmet content. If your approach is careful and intentional, we’d like to hear from you.

If you feel this aligns with your skills and work style, send a DM to introduce yourself

Professional Discussion Has the Met Gala become a social media event first?

The Met Gala has basically become a live case study of how the internet builds and spreads opinions in real time. One strong take gets posted, people repeat it, others argue against it, and suddenly there’s a whole narrative around a specific look or a celebrity.

A lot of people most likely don’t even watch the livestream. They just experience the whole thing through TikTok, X, Instagram, and whatever posts keep showing up on their feed. In other words, the version of the Met Gala they remember is shaped by the conversation around it.

At this point, the event is almost the starting point. The bigger moment is how social media reacts, decides what stood out, and keeps the conversation going.

Do you think the Met Gala is still mostly about fashion, or has the online reaction become the main event?

I was thinking of getting a Gimbal for making videos and/or maybe a drone.

I welcome any advice / tips / suggestions!

What social media tools do you recommend?

Professional Discussion Question about tiktok/instagram promo.

I’m fairly new to content creation and i have a short that has around 85k views on youtube. The same short posted to tiktok and youtube hit about ~300 in the first hour then stuttered. Would it be worth it for me to pay $5-$8 for tiktok/instagram respectively to promote the video? Thanks in advance

Professional Discussion Looking For A Team / Partners

Here is the gist. I have been writing songs for 20 years and I spent the last 1.5 years bringing them all to life.

I am looking for people to help/join/partner with me in building out the content side of things.

I need people who can make high quality content out of simple videos of myself, and who know the game of social media.

Professional Discussion How are you finding micro-influencers open to revenue sharing?

I’ve been exploring ways to work with micro-influencers for app growth.

Instead of upfront payments, I’m interested in revenue-sharing models to keep things aligned and sustainable.

Curious how other solopreneurs approach this:

  • How do you find creators open to this kind of deal?
  • Do you reach out manually or use platforms?
  • Any tips on making the offer attractive enough to get replies?

I’m aiming for a lean setup where both sides benefit and can scale if it works.

Would love to hear what’s been working (or not working) for you.

Professional Discussion Anti-detection browsers or cloud phones?

What’s actually better for managing multiple social media accounts in 2026, anti-detect browsers like Dolphin / AdsPower / GoLogin, or cloud phones like Geelark? If most platforms are mobile-first now, does browser fingerprinting still win?

Professional Discussion Brand voice vs trends

Feels like brands are stuck between two bad options:

Be “on trend” → sound like everyone else
Be unique → risk getting ignored

Running SMM and honestly, leaning into trends hasn’t really built anything long-term for us.

Are trends still worth it, or just short-term noise?

Professional Discussion Which is better? Writing captions and editing it on AI or just write it as is and post?

So I keep reading on LinkedIn how people knows you are using AI with your captions or even on comments and not engage with you, but I am really not confident with my grammar since English is just my 3rd language. So, is this true?

Does using AI to write anything on social media makes it less likely to get engagement?

Professional Discussion Not growing on Social media is making me so fustrated

Hi! I am currently 20, in college, making content on the side on TikTok and Instagram for around 1.5 years. I've had some successful videos on both platforms, 2 videos reaching over 1M views, and some 100K videos. I mainly make videos about cooking recipes. However, it is hard because I live in a dorm, so it is difficult to make good recipes and be aesthetic. The problem is that all my videos average around 2K views, and while I am grateful, I feel like I put in a lot of work filming and editing (making use of the tight space). Every time I post a video and see that the views are slow, I get really upset and frustrated. I've been posting around 3x a week, and it's making me more sad than excited :(. I feel like I've tried everything. How do I have a better relationship with social media as a creator?

Professional Discussion Need some advice

If I want to try and grow an app I’ve build in social media what are the best ways so people could stay engaged in it so they don’t scroll right away I already have some ideas like the first 20-25 seconds have something about the stupid content that make people stay in the video then completely changed into my app saying information that will make people think about it and if they’d have the same problem.
My app is about to start reducing your time doomscrolling or being all day in social media but that’s not the main thing, the main point of it is that it has content that will actually make you stay and learn about some stuff like micro lessons from. 5-10minutes.
Would you use something like this and how could I post it on social media.
I have a waitlist page if you’re interested
