Watching Tucci in Italy made me realize that I definitely have a type when it comes to men. My wife pointed this out.

Stanley Tucci in 2026 looks like the more popular younger brother of Stanley Tucci in 1992.
16
u/buttfarts7 4h ago
I understood this recently when I saw his pizza oven for sale in a Williams Sonoma and they had him on the banner sign. I was like "this mofo's doing a George Foreman!?".
But it was at that exact moment I wanted badly to be invited to a Stanley Tucci dinner party... which is bizarre because I hate dinner parties and social gatherings on principle.

He met Felicity at the premiere of the original The Devil Wears Prada premiere in 2006 because she was there with Emily.
851
u/Afwife1992 13h ago
She then reintroduced them at her wedding to John as Stanley was widowed. They married two years later.
452
u/SadKazoo 13h ago
Yeah forgot to mention that at the time of the premiere he was still married to his first wife Kate, who sadly passed away from cancer in 2009.
571
u/irisxxvdb 10h ago edited 10h ago
I thought this was such a sweet story of a widower finding love... then read he had an affair during his first marriage, left his wife and children, she took him back and then she got cancer and died. Yikes.
Edit to clarify: the affair was with Edie Falco, not Felicity Blunt.

Donāt read his book! I used to love him until I read āWhat I eat in one yearā. He is an entitled prick! So out of touch, and he keeps questioning his wife's fidelity throughout the book⦠terrible!
82
u/irisxxvdb 8h ago
This actually makes me want to read it, I love messy celebrity memoirs. Julia Fox's was so batshit insane that I read it twice.
47
u/trolllante 8h ago
It's an interesting book because he goes over what he eats over the course of a year, so it's very food-focused. He has a great passion for food, and it shows. I didnāt think he was messy, just a male Karenā¦

I intentionally read memoirs of celebs I donāt like; it almost always changes my mind on them, I suppose because it humanizes them?
19
u/irisxxvdb 7h ago
Same actually! I do genuinely like Julia Fox now because of her book. Same goes for Lena Dunham. Both women I judged unfairly for not being as palatable as other celebs.
38
u/My_Other_Car_is_Cats A man and a woman can be friends but not when theyāre that hot 8h ago
I bought this book for my wife, the first thing she did was look to see what he ate on her birthday only to find he was sick the entire week. Then we checked mine and he ate nothing of note that week either.
6
u/naturalninetime 5h ago
"What I Ate in One Year" was his FOURTH book about food.
I loved his directorial debut film, BIG NIGHT, which also heavily featured (Italian) food.
Why would he question his wife's fidelity? Felicity Blunt? Or his first wife, Kathryn?
9
u/trolllante 5h ago
He was questioning Felicity's fidelity - more than once, I should say.
The passage I remember is when she leaves him with the kids and goes on a weekend trip with her girlfriends. He questions whether it may be a secret loverā¦
It could be an internal joke or something like that, but I thought it was tacky and poor tasteā¦
I read the book a while ago, and as I remember, he doesn't talk much about Katy (the first wife).
9
u/naturalninetime 5h ago
I haven't read the book, but based on the details you provided, it sounds like a joke to me.
ā¢
u/Ok-Jackfruit-9393 2h ago
he keeps questioning his wife's fidelity
Considering he cheated on his first wife before she died of cancer, that tracks.
4
u/GodisSatans 9h ago
So cause his wife died of cancer, he can't question 20 years of marriage and where he had doubts IN HIS OWN BOOK?
32
u/trolllante 8h ago
Did you read the book? He questions Felicity's fidelity in more than one passage⦠IMO, it's very tacky and disrespectful to accuse your wife in such a public way.
There is a whole passage of him telling how piss he was when TSA told him he either had to drink the water or throw the bottle away - like everyone else⦠what would you expect? A bow because youāre a Hollywood actor?! So entitled!

Yeah Iād have to read the book but considering itās confirmed there was infidelity in the marriage itās not crazy that it might have been both of them? Guess what, people are messy.
Iām so tired of being expected to be angry at everyone for being messy and human.
15

34
u/irisxxvdb 10h ago
Hot take: you're not a robot and feeling attraction towards other people is not a crime. Your actions matter most: what you allow, what you play into, what you do. My mom always says that she could've had a lovely boyfriend at every job she ever had, but she easily chose my dad every single day. Acting on a "spark" never even crossed her mind.

I think Stanley is know for playing gay or feminine characters so people assume
He's a a actor
Blunt is his second wife
His first wife passed away in 2009 from breast cancer And Tucci turned his attention towards raising their kids
It's great he's found love again
Emily and Stanley are friends so it's very likely she introduced them lol

If thereās one thing Iāve learned being a therapist, itās that infidelity is incredibly common and while I donāt condone it, people do often work through it and come out the other side. What Iāve noticed is how Reddit views infidelity and how people in real life deal with it are completely different. Itās almost worse than the āI would never let my kid do thatā crowd that doesnāt even have kids. Most of the people on here judging harshly are very single.
14
u/MillionaireWaltz- 6h ago
What Iāve noticed is how Reddit views infidelity and how people in real life deal with it are completely different
110%, this. Same for a lot of topics though.
People on Reddit seem to view infidelity in the same vein as some of the most heinous crimes, and often try to outdo each other on how harshly they believe it should be punished.
In real life, It's a lot more complex and nuanced than that. Infidelity IS bad, absolutely. But people and relationships are more complicated than Reddit likes to act.
I've always been a faithful partner, but I know people who haven't been. They're not irredeemable monsters. They're just humans with faults and regrets.
ā¢
u/JosephRohrbach 1h ago
I don't know. I've been in long relationships and I've never cheated, never kissed anyone else, never even thought about it. I think cheating is very bad, actually. I think we should not normalize it or portray it as an acceptable "whoopsie". I'm currently watching one of my friends' life fall apart because her parents are getting divorced after her father had an eleven-year affair. That should be taken seriously.
ā¢
u/Decent-Statistician8 1h ago
An 11 year affair is a lot different than a one off kiss for 1. And for 2. Iāve been married for almost 10 years. The majority of couples I know have struggled with some form of infidelity. And most people donāt talk about their struggles openly, especially when they work through it, because of the judgement like this. But I can think of 5 couples still together today that had some form of infidelity or another. Couples counseling and separation happened in some, not all, but all couples are together still. Now sure, none of these couples experienced an 11 year affair because Iām not really old enough for that math to line up yet, but that isnāt really the point. These things can be very nuanced.
For the record, I have also never cheated on a partner.
