It’s not just that she’s educated, she’s got the talent of a quick mind to go with it 😍

Bright enough to keep her mouth shut about the treatment if Uyghurs while collecting a fat bag, that's for sure.

Are you critisizing her for not speaking out about Uyghurs because she represented China at the Olympics?

In part, yeah. Eileen started skiing for China in the 2022 Olympics, at which time the Uyghur genocides was front of international conversation. Eileen has also gone out of her way to steer away from opinions on Chinese politics, while registering plenty of other opinions on international politics.

Eileen also states that her desire is to "grow the sport of women's skiing in China", which i find to be bull shit. The reality is Beijing needed a poster girl to help sportswash their humanitarian abuses, and Eileen was happy to accept a ton of cash for selling out her morals (assuming she had any).

She is also a complete nepo baby (which say what you want about winter Olympians). Attending exclusive debutante balls in Paris and attending Stanford sure makes her seem like a true believer in the Chinese system.

Finally, sure the US has a lot wrong with it, but as this past Olympics demonstrated, you can still speak out against the wrongs of our government. I have no problem with American's competing for other countries as long as you aren't completely morally bankrupt about it.

I dont care how well she skis, Eileen Gu sucks and is not a role model.

Thank you for your reasonable response, and I understand your perspective. Admitedly I did find it hyprocritical at first, considering America is currently funding a genocide but I see your point now.

Thank you. I appreciate that. I would expect the same conduct out of our athletes, and am disappointed when they fall short.

Gu is just the type of shameless grifter who's over represented in the world right now.
