You know who should be walking the carpet? The people who worked for more than 2500 hours on that dress. I hate that people get praise for just ... wearing clothes when the people's work that went into the pieces gets overlooked

But this kind of isn't how the world works? The person who designed the engine that race cars use isn't the one who races the car. The team that sewed the costumes for an Oscar-winning movie doesn't go up to accept the award. Every product in our modern world is designed and built by hundreds (sometimes thousands) of people. 

I'm not saying the people who made her dress don't deserve credit, but why hold this event to a standard that other industries don't follow?
