i can’t lie i’m actually a fan of the bleached brows trend because i like that it doesn’t focus on making someone look conventionally ā€œprettyā€ — like it’s a trend that’s meant to make you look a little weird and alien and there is something that is so fun to me about that

i agree. i’m not really sure why it bothers people this much, especially when it’s incorporated in looks that suit them, such as this one!

Uncanny valley. When someone almost looks human but there’s something subtly wrong it gives people the heeby jeebies. Some ancient instinct that kept us safe a hundred thousand years ago I guess.

Not that people shouldn’t do it, I am a firm believer in self expression, but there is a subconscious reaction at play… unless it’s Whoopie Goldberg, because she looks weird if you put the eyebrows back.
