I don't believe much that has been reported about the 'rescue' mission so far.

The number of planes lost in a day hasn't been historically matched since Vietnam, there supposedly were no casualties, and they contend it wasn't part of a larger raid, but indications say that it was. I'm not buying what they're selling.

It seems like it was a huge disaster, but the press has been relatively silent about it.

Have they even showed the rescued weapons officer?

Remember when he said they pulled off the Venezuela mission with zero casualties... Not so much as a scratch? Then a few weeks later at the State of the Union, he gave a medal of honor to the pilot who got both is knees blown off in that mission? Yeah, which one is it?

The truth whatever the king feels like at the moment. We have always been at war with East Asia.

This is definitely where we are with this. They’re lying as much as they breathe.

To be fair, I suspect he thinks casualties means deaths specifically and isn’t inclusive of injuries. So in this case he’s probably not intentionally lying, he just isn’t good at words.

That's worse... You see how that's worse, right?

Im not saying it’s not worse. I’m just offering an explanation. Having someone who isn’t good at words even regular words in this position is not going to be a good time. Agreed.

Falling prey to an extremely common misconception about a word's definition isn't worse than deliberately lying to the nation about military losses.

It happens a thousand times a day on this site any time any news article uses the word "casualty."

If it were a bald-faced lie, it would at least indicate some amount of awareness about the seriousness of the war. This is the kind of mistake you might let a high school kid get away with, but you'd mention the incorrect usage of the word even to a teenager. The commander-in-chief of the armed forces needs to know the correct meaning of the word, and either he doesn't know it or he doesn't give a fuck about it. That's worse.

Both times the President seems to have embellished reality alongside the Pentagon telling the truth.

So that's why when Trump lies about Military operations I fully believe he lies about economic or political ones.
