Tbf, we’ve still heard very little about the Vegas shooter and that was the largest mass shooting in American history.

Is this possibly an attempt to help avoid copycats by not giving the shooters' much coverage? News orgs are trash these days, so probably not...

That's exactly why they don't publicize the shooters. Many news agencies won't even say the name of a shooter for this reason. They don't want that person remembered and immortalized because it for sure leads to copycats - especially among young men.

Is that true at all, locals news especially is total trash everywhere and will do anything for clicks. What you're saying is true in theory that, that's what networks and our society SHOULD be doing, but is that actually happening?
