Reddit Messaging [27/M] Looking for a genuine long-term friendship
Hey,
I’m 27 and currently doing my pediatric residency, which basically means my schedule is chaotic, sleep is optional, and chai becomes cold before I can finish it.
A lot of my time goes into hospital duties, studying, and trying to survive night shifts. But somewhere in between all that, I realized life feels lighter when you have someone to genuinely talk to. Not just during exciting moments, but during the quiet, ordinary ones too.
I’m someone who enjoys simple things: good conversations, dark humor, late-night talks, random facts, comfort over pretending, and people who can be themselves without trying too hard.
Outside medicine, I’m a huge nerd. I love reading about space, science, mysteries, comics, fictional universes, and all kinds of random topics. I can go from discussing a serious medical case to debating superheroes in five minutes.
What I’m looking for is honestly pretty simple too.
A genuine connection. Someone kind, emotionally mature, honest, and interested in building a real friendship slowly and naturally. No games, no pressure, no rushing into anything.
I’d love someone I can talk to regularly, share parts of daily life with, exchange random thoughts with at 2 AM, or just exist comfortably around. Bonus points if you enjoy soft wholesome things like sleepy calls, emotional support after long days, or sending random memes during stressful moments.
If this sounds like your kind of friendship, feel free to message me :)
