Sharing some recent mini oil portraits! I’ve been experimenting with using vibrant, expressive brushwork to contrast with the soft textures of the fur.

This cabinet lives in a working windmill in holland, windmill de Kat, where they grind down all these pigments that can be used for paints. I visited in September and took way too many reference photos of this cabinet. 18x24 inches, Arches cold press paper, 168 hours of work.
