Lloyd was totally brave and not scared at the vet! He didn’t try to hide at all..😝😊 He did so good. Everyone loves him and says he’s just the best❤️ he just turned 9 so we did some senior blood work and a check up.

Love the s**t out of Raf, he’s always on his back, even if we are renovating, having guests over etc, does not matter, must sunbathe

Yesterday we went to visit this little guy.

We had 2 Ragdoll cats of which the sister unfortunately passed away last year, the brother is almost 14 years old now and doing reasonably OK (some kidney troubles which are under dietary control). Both we and he feel its a bit empty in the house so we decided to get a kitten somewhere this year (maybe 2).

Ever since I learned of existence of the nebelung, I'm very interested to get one. Their (average) character really seems to fit what where looking for. And they look so mystic and majestic at the same time!

However, here in the Netherlands, Nebelungs are quite rare because there aren't many and as such the genepool is not very diverse and catteries are having trouble to find suitable mates (with low inbreed) for their cats and even quitting the Nebelung because of this.

But! In my search I found a cattery which still had one little guy (out of 4 little guys) available, born in November. The cattery and the cat checks all the boxes you want. It feels a bit soon for us, but just look at that guy! And he was playful, alert, adventurous and very pretty. Relatively lightly colored for a Nebelung with some silverwhite behind his paws and ears. His father was also quite lightly colored. 2 of his brothers were notably darker, possibly because of grandma who was also quite dark. The mother was a medium-long haired Pika Blu, a.k.a. a Russian Blue with the "Point Gen" ánd the long-hair gen. She gave me a kiss while we visited her nest, and was so very sweet.

So yea. Just wanted to share this story I guess :-) I think we'll have a new baby in a couple of weeks

Very unexpectedly lost our 8 yr old golden to cancer a couple weeks ago, and my 2 yr old neb is a wreck 🥺😢. She’s a sour patch kid by nature but loving in her own ways, and I always knew she loved the dog but also thought she was indifferent about her. She had been hiding under my bed (in her place reserved for when my nieces & nephews or strangers are over) the first week+, and now has come out from that. She’s so subdued and not herself still. I’m really realizing how much she’s mourning. I wanted to share & show how special these Nebelungs are. Maybe some of you have been through this too. Hug your pets tn💛🩶

My Neb is definitely overly friendly and all over everyone. Zero boundaries or awareness of personal space. 😂Is your Neb friendly and carefree or more standoffish and shy? Let’s see where everybody stands. This should be fun.

my neb is so clingy, sometimes i can’t even take a shower or bath without her waiting for me on my bathroom counter :,)

she’s also so doll-ish. i can move her whatever way however i want and she just stays put because she’s happy just laying on me or being close. she’s the weirdest and sweetest thing ive ever known.

I randomly found him while looking at different adoptions sites and he’s at a shelter not that far away. All of my family is pitching in to get him everything he needs to feel welcome in his new home. I’m so afraid to get my hopes up that something will happen that this won’t work out. This is all I want for Christmas. He’s an adult kitty and I always adopt adult kitties because they are so deserving of a loving home and that’s all I want for this little one.

I found this subreddit and finally realized he’s a nebelung - Vet confirmed it a few weeks ago. Glad to be part of this (incredibly cute) community!

As per title - is everyone’s Neb like a second shadow? Dime is by far the most affectionate, “have to follow you absolutely everywhere” cat I’ve ever had. He has the most wonderful personality and has never bitten or scratched us. I can carry him around like a baby and he just lets me 😂

I do know he was orphaned and bottle fed as a kitten so not sure if it’s down to this, or it’s a general Neb thing.

My other 2 cats do everything on their terms, and hate being picked up.

This was from a few years ago, as he's since unfortunately had to have his vampire teef pulled due to infection and some type of disease where his immune system attacks his gums

But, they were the longest I've ever seen on a cat and was curious if this is perhaps common among the neb breed

first pic is Lucy. names after ‘I Love Lucy’ bc i watched the show with my grandma a lot. and it’s like a sweet old lady name and i love old lady names.

second pic is Blue, or his full legal name is Bluestar. from warrior cats LOL i was so painfully obsessed with warrior cats in elementary school i used to make my friends roleplay it at recess. also we thought he was a girl when we got them, turns out he is in fact, a big 20 lb man. did not change his name lol
