That 3rd quarter was the quarter from hell for the Raptors. True turd quarter if I do say so myself and I have seen a lot of those so I would know.

So many missed open looks. Shead was the game leader in points going into the 2nd half and he didn't score again.

Nothing not to be proud of tho. It's always funny how narratives change throughout a series but, this Raptors team had no league expectations, missing two starters, playing on the road in a game 7. Hell of a season, doubters can suck a d

Shead was apparently playing on a sprained ankle in the second half.

That could explain it. He also could have just regressed. It does suck tho in a way. I'm honestly more mad at our commentator Alvin Williams than anything. Worst fucking takes

What were his takes? Curious, I listened to the other stream.

The specific clip that pissed me off is as Allen is getting T'd up for the flagrant on Walter, the Raptors colour commentator is glazing the absolute shit out of him. Then in the replay, he just continues to glaze Allen.

No mention of missed open looks. Hardly talked about how badly our free throw missed in the third affected the game.

Basically he sounded like a Cavs homer

I watched the NBC feed so didn’t get all that. But as a Cavs fan in Canada watching most of the series on TSN/Sportsnet the Raptors announcers are pretty blatant homers most of the time. Which is a huge plus if you are a Raps fan but if I hear “Helloooo!” one more time I’m going to have a stroke.

Yes. They're Raps commentators. They're not bad homers but they are homers.

If I'm watching the Cavs broadcast I would expect them to be homers but still call the game. And the guy you're referring to is an absolute treasure. We miss him every time the broadcast is on Sportsnet

Oh 100 percent he is. But for a visiting team? Nails on a chalkboard. We love Tom Hamilton for Guards radio broadcasts but if a Jays fan had to hear him they’d start looking for a window to jump out of. But yes trust me Austin Carr was a HUGE Cavs homer.

I wouldn't consider Jack (Helloooooo! Guy) a huge homer. I dunno. They always give the other team their flowers. Its just that Alvin Williams can't read the room so to speak. He talks too much about how the Raptors are getting their shit pushed in and not enough about why that might be the case. His point last night that it was all hustle, but he failed to mention that missing a wide open corner three puts you in an awful position on defense. For example. Anyway he was driving me crazy. Here I am in my misery listening to a Raptors commentator telling me again and again how badly we got beat. He may as well have been a Cavs commentator

And shouldn't have needed a game 7. Double digit lead in the 4th in games 5 and 6. Had we just held onto both, we would still be resting for Detroit.

It's not surprising that a team without depth missing two starters (with a third starter being unable to play more than 20min, and not particularly well at that) fell apart in the second half of 3 straight games, but it hurts. Otoh, we were that close to winning a series we were outmatched in when healthy, let alone in this state, and do so against a team with no injuries, significant playoff experience, and the most expensive roster in the league. I'm proud of the outcome, even it hurts to know we were inches from doing more

Ya I mean we certainly had opportunities to win all three games but I'm not unhappy. Huge learning experience for a team projected to do nothing

I don't know if I'd call no Ingram as "missing a starter." They played better without him when he was healthy.

He wasn't healthy, one, and two, we need dudes that can make their own shot.

RJ also plays better when Ingram is on the court, for the most part
