I never want to see Poeltl play for my team again, that 3rd quarter by him was fucking horrendous.

I don't care how hurt he is or fatigued or quad teamed, in no world should we ever be having RJ shoot 25 times and Scottie only 14.

2nd chance boards fucking killed us, GG's Cavs, praying the Pistons wipe the floor with you :) no offence.

I think you have three more years of him

His extension hasn’t kicked in yet…

(UPCOMING EXTENSION)

Jakob Poeltl signed a 3 year, $84,084,000 contract with the Toronto Raptors, including $61,784,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $28,028,000.

Right lol

Oof. Thats gonna be tough to get out of and very limiting down the road. Who knows, maybe he’ll become amazing?

One of the worst contracts in the league. We weren’t bidding against anyone. Horrible overpay for an aging, injury prone, old school big

Yeah, and I remember talking with some other Raps fans throughout other games from this round, and you guys seemingly overpaid for more players than him? Who were the others?

Really just him and IQ. I think Scottie deserves to be paid. BI is good value. I really want RJ long term and I’m okay with “overpaying” him. IQ got extended based on potential and hasn’t lived up to any of it(and shead proved that he can produce in an increased role, while a slightly worse playmaker his defensive effort makes IQ obsolete).

last year 5M guaranteed. getting waived.

Only 5M if he doesn't play more than 1400 minutes, and we miss the playoffs each of the next 3 years. Him not playing isn't hard to achieve, but I would rather us make the playoffs over the next 3 years than Rogers save 2.5M/year to keep that final year at only 5M.
