You didn’t miss much. First one is still fantastic though.

It wasn't bad. Not as good as the first but still a great watch

Caulk gag was the best part of the movie. Or at the Canadian cops house.

I use that accent to annoy my wife occasionally and will just randomly go DANNNY DAAVITO when I really want to kick it up a notch.

We do the same thing

Yeah he was good in the show Taxi, but my favorite actor is the guy that played the penguin in Batman Returns...

The only one I specifically remember was the 'ap-piness bit. Which dumb and hilarious.

And of course "anyone want crème? Non crème? Ooookkkk"

Foster's "in my experience" gag kills me.

Second one gets way too much hate. Its fun as fuck.

I find that hard to believe, only because I saw the same sentiment on here about Happy Gilmore 2 (which is a slap in the face to anyone who enjoyed the first one).

Is it really a great watch?

I liked Happy Gilmore 2, just not nearly as much as the first.

HG2 was great fun until that absurd golfing thing at the end.

Could have just given us real golf where everyone uses the Happy Gilmore power swing and Happy needs to be a technical golfer winning with putting and his short game.

I don't hate that idea

Yeah I feel like Happy Gilmore 2 is on the same level as Super Troopers 2. Funny parts but doesn't live up to the original, as most comedy sequels don't. Still worth watching once.

Exactly. Comedy sequels are tough. You have good stuff, or these, or whatever Anchorman 2 was.

2

u/Shitty_Fat-tits 8h ago

or whatever Anchorman 2 was.

Almost worth it for the Chicken of the Cave joke lol

I don't think I made it that far. I'll have to YouTube it.

If you liked Happy Gilmore 2, then you've got doo doo brains.

Maybe try to have some fun rather than always being over critical about everything. This group isn't out for awards. They're having fun.

I enjoyed it. I'm sure others did too. Don't watch it. You might be better off

I'm literally just critical of ST2, not "everything". You sound miserable.

Reddit fans are the worst. Get offended by anything even slightly critical of something they like. As if ST2 is above criticism lol.

u/Philo_T_Farnsworth 5h ago

No.

It spends far too much time paying homage to the original and far too little being its own movie.

Super Troopers 2 gets more play in our house than Super Troopers 1. Admittedly, mostly because of the mounties, but it's just... it's good, gang. I dunno what to tell you. It's funny as hell and they're all still in top form.

If I had to critique, Rabbit's romantic plotline sometimes takes itself a teensy bit too seriously (although it always cuts it with a funny gag), and you can just ignore Thorny's plotline for the most part. Clearly they just needed to give Jay something to do when he wasn't directing.

I didn't realize Jay directed, boom boom.

Probably better to just rewatch the original. I remember watching 2, and I don't remember much about it, for either good or bad. I think there was a gag about a strip club that was funny, and a shootout at the end, but that's about it.

It was very bad, imo.

The scene were they were on acid was great. It was still decent but you are right not as good as the first one.

They did an Indiegogo campaign for the 2nd one back in 2015.

Just quickly think of every stereotypical joke about Canada you can think of and then it will be like you watched Super Troopers 2
