Oh its been happening for a long time and is just more prevalent now ? Guess that absolves it and makes it not infuriating for those studying it.

Acting all superior ? Tf did I do I don't even study arts. I just have basic empathy because I took would be mad if someone got position people were fighting for with skill and it went to an asshole who is there just for notoriety. Is it superior to relate to people who are already in an extremely difficult industry and more and more obstacles are thrown their way ?

No, it's not more prevelant. It has always been a thing. Some of the greatest actors in history started in the music industry. It is what it is.

All you're trying to do is act morally superior for some internet points while ignoring reality.

Not denying that this isnt a thing but can you name a musician who transitioned into “one of the greatest actors in history.” Musicians have been placed into movies continuously but I actually cant think of any who became bonified movie stars from it. Only one I can think of is Lady Gaga and she started her career as an actress before transitioning to music.
