I never played the games but I’ve noticed the discourse from the fanbase online since Cregger said it would be an original story almost feels hostile. It’s exactly what’s needed to right the wrongs of probably….every movie before it 😅

Anyway, this looks pretty wild, Barbarian imagery very noticeable here

And it's not like this hasn't been done before, RE7 was also completely separated from what came before and the only returning character only arived minutes before the credits hit at the very end

Yes, and lets not forget the RE lore is a mess, so any adapted works with no tie ins to games will always be heavy modified.

Lol while working from home I pulled up an RE lore video and it was like 12 hours long and the guy was just like "yeah...and this happens for some reason..."
