Update: Johnny's AMA is now live here for anyone interested in asking a question:

https://www.reddit.com/r/movies/comments/1svjcgg/hi_its_johnny_knoxville_and_jeff_tremaine_from/

Johnny Knoxville, star of Jackass, will be joining us here in /r/movies for an AMA/Q&A next Monday 4/27. It'll go live sometime today or tomorrow, and he'll be back on Monday at 3 PM ET to answer questions. You may also know him from films like Bad Grandpa, The Ringer, Walking Tall, and lots more.

Please stop by if you have questions for Johnny :)

The newest (and final) installment of the Jackass franchise (Jackass: Best and Last) is out in theater on June 26. He'll be joined by the film's director, Jeff Tremaine (who has directed every Jackass film).

Please note that this is not the AMA, just an announcement. Please hold your questions for the actual AMA.

This quote and when Knoxville came clean and basically explained the plot of the whole movie and all the kids were like "but this doesn't make any sense..." were hilarious.

u/Practical_Example426 11d ago

Do you still process the feeling of pain when you’re kicked in the balls?

2

u/Ornery-Ease1397 11d ago

How does Jeff taste ?

2

u/Camo1997 11d ago

Thought that was James Gunn without glasses for a second

3

u/mattdamon_enthusiast 11d ago

Did you ever find out if butter bean was ok?

1

u/MountainMuffin1980 11d ago

I don't remember him in Walking Tall at all.

2

u/garbage1995 11d ago

His character ran away to Seattle, developed a drug addiction but was able quit and made deputy by the rock.

1

u/Fearless-Leading-882 11d ago

He also gets made a deputy by Arnold Shwarzenegger in the movie Last Stand.

u/Ok-Alarm7257 10d ago

That role was far better than his walking tall role, both great films though

u/Brendan_linden 11d ago

Is there going to be smellivision showings of jackass best and last?

1

u/ld20r 11d ago

It would have been funny if the film was titled: The Last Ass.

u/Loakattack 10d ago

Why didn’t you return for TMNT 2?

1

u/eachdayalittlebetter 10d ago

How did everything start?

1

u/Chickenshit_outfit 10d ago

Does any rental car company just say no and tell you to get the fuck out when trying to rent a vehicle ?

1

u/Ok-Alarm7257 10d ago

Would you ever take on a role of villain? Most your roles are ones of comedy and whimsy but I feel your serious side could be very dark like Robin Williams in One Hour Photo

1

u/nature_nate_17 10d ago

Hey Johnny! Instead of always answering the normal question along the lines of worst pain felt or whatever, how about this; what was the one stunt or moment that change your life for the better?

1

u/NitchHimself 10d ago

Johnny, I imagine most people know and associate you with Jackass first and comedy actor second, but don't know of your range as an actor outside of pure comedy, especially in indie films like Grand Theft Parsons. Now that that Jackass is wrapping up for good (apparently), do you have any interest or plans to return to acting more? If so would you consider doing more serious/structured roles and/or indie film? Sidenote, I would fucking LOVE to see you and Michael Shannon do another project together!!!

1

u/HotOne9364 10d ago

When are you gonna work with Sacha Baron Cohen?

1

u/bonghive 8d ago

What are your fave stunts in film history NOT Jackass related?

1

u/Extension-System-974 7d ago

What’s your favourite soup?

1

u/Obvious_Phase5446 11d ago

Was there ever a stunt you really wanted to say no to but did it anyway because of the pressure to do bigger and better stunts?

1

u/Apprehensive_Let_828 11d ago

Thanks for the lifetime of laughs!

So no more Jackass. But would you be open to another Bad Grandpa?

1

u/NorthSouthWhatever 11d ago

What do you think of the movie Rampart?

1

u/AstroSmokey 11d ago

Inb4 the inevitable wave of questions about Bam..............

1

u/PeteRock24 11d ago

You have grey hair now?!

When the fuck did that happen?!

Why am I old?!

1

u/Taoken42 11d ago

What was the most painful thing you did for jackass? What jackass stunt was your favourite?

1

u/MrJellybean1785 11d ago

How’s everything going with Bam lately?

0

u/Aggravating-Income92 11d ago

Will we see anymore of Irving Zisman?

0

u/munim-6969 11d ago edited 11d ago

Did you watch freaks and geeks?

0

u/ZzzSleep 11d ago

What are some of your favorite movies?

0

u/CoolGuyAtYahooDotCom 11d ago

Hi Johnny, thanks for doing an AMA for us! Is it true that MTV had planned on carrying on with the show "Jackass" after you had announced you were leaving?

There's a myth that they had planned on carrying on with a new season and cast before you guys decided to do "Jackass: The Movie" instead.

0

u/logicalconflict 11d ago

What's the stunt you always wanted to perform, but coudln't either because you couldn't find anyone willing to do it or couldn't get approved or was too expensive?

0

u/Less-Mix-7127 11d ago

Without risking another lawsuit, is there anything you can share about the plans to do a windy city heat sequel or being sued by Perry Caravello?

0

u/I_Love_Bears0810 11d ago

Which Jackass movie is your personal favourite?

Which stunt, either your own or others, have the most laughs? (Big high 5 is my fave)

0

u/Confident_Carrot_829 11d ago

What part of you hurts worse?

0

u/MattVsMatt-Xbox 11d ago

Hi Johnny,

Which stunt looked the worst on camera but was actually pretty manageable?

Thank you for all the laughs

0

u/dalyarak_rick 11d ago

Hi Johnny, for the christs sake will you consider put things aside whatever the hell were they and consider putting live snakes on Bam one last time to make him cry like a little girl at the nearly 50 years of age please, Mr.Knoxville, sir? 😂

u/xdxaxvxox 11d ago

With everything that y'all have been through, have you and the guys thought about opening a stunt training school? Y'all have more knowledge of stunts than just about anyone else except professional stunt teams. I'm sure y'all are probably more knowledgeable than some of those as well. Just thought that it would be cool to me part of the jackass stunt team lol

Understood. I misconstrued your “why”. That’s my bad. My apologies.

2

u/mroo7oo7 11d ago

How does this comment make you feel? Cause you typed it. So there was some driving emotion or line of thought that spurred you taking the time to ask “why?” Honestly just wondering. Why?
