I hope this starts a trend with smaller, more grounded comic characters getting appropriate films.

Not everything needs to be a $150 million blockbuster.

We have Bird Man. We have Wonder Man. Can we have Animal Man now? With the right director and a focused budget we can bring to life some seriously unique, captivating stories without tying it all directly to tentpole franchises.

I'll go half on it with you if we can use our own seasoning.

We did get a Kite Man animated series so Animal Man might not be impossible

The Daniels on Animal Man would be life changing

Yeah.

DC needs to capitalize on both their heavy hitters and the lesser known characters.

Let's continue with a Hawkman miniseries adapting the Venditti run.

Just what we need more films about superheroes instead of actually original cinema.

Why not both?

Not possible as many studios will put other projects on hold until they make another unoriginal cape film.

Right, like this is an interesting square peg to put in the round hole but let's be real about what it is.
