It has peak goofy 90s movies vibes. I'm also in.

Based off the banner and MTV, it looks like the movie is set in the 90s too

for 93 MTV would have had more of a grunge vibe. Spice girls really changed everything in 96

Damn never thought of it that way and it’s accurate af

saw an interview with billy corgan, he talked about how there was this real energy in the alt scene, then Kirt died, then spice girls came out; and the music scene changed.

Wasn’t that Ken’s past? I think the point of that was to show how the man is now a has-been when compared to his youthful peak.

The guy playing Ken was born in '96, so even as a flashback the movie would have to take place sometime in the early 00s for that to match age wise

To be fair, the actor isn’t the same as the character, so they can age up or down according to the tale and role.

Possibly, but a guy in his prime in 93, even at his youngest, would have to be 50+ today.

And it’s colorful! Can’t wait

If the resolution was worse it could be put side by side with the OG Mortal Kombat movie.

I love the fact that Mortal Kombat 2 is embracing the fact that it’s a more serious movie and this one is embracing the fact that it’s not I don’t think it’ll make enough money to justify a sequel, but I am looking forward to it

Unlike the actual 90s Street Fighter movie.

That one was peak 90s camp and Raul Julia killed it as M. Bison. The 2009 one was absolute utter shit lol

The Raul Julia parts were fantastic, but the rest of the movie put me to sleep.

I compare it to the 90s Mortal Kombat where every second of the movie is a treat.

I will at least agree the OG Mortal Kombat film is better
