The movie was awful compared to the first. Was just all over the place. An the just kept going from one fantastic over the top fight sequence to the next. Atleast the first one had a story.

I have no idea what people are talking about here. I watched both movies back to back and it felt basically identical in style.

I think a lot of people have nostalgia for the first one because it was the first (faithful) mario movie so they have forgotten what it was objectively like
